Muffled

Jesus in me
i have a question for my Muslim frnds ,it may sound silly :p ,so sorry in advance

why not Allah revealed directly to Mohammad sahib instead thru a Jinn/angel Gabriel ? is Allah Shy ?

Maybe being crucified makes Him a little more cautious.

You mean, "Muslim" is said to be the only one who is agreed with your understandings ?
Hardly. I am a Christian and I agree with the understandings. That makes me a Muslim by faith but I am not one by practice. I don't bow my head to the ground towards Mecca for instance.

If you answer 'yes' to the following questions :
* Do you believe with all your heart and mind that there is only One God who is our Creator and the Creator of everything in the Heavens and the Earth ?
* If so, do you believe that this Creator(God) sent messengers(starting from Adam(pbuh) and then continuing with many other including Moses(pbuh) and Jesus(pbuh) and finally ending with Muhammad(pbuh)) to humanity to guide humanity to His way ?
* Finally, do you believe that when we die, we return to the same Creator(God) and will be held accountable for our deeds in this world ?

Then you are a Muslim (at least by Faith). What that means is that you are free of the only 'Unforgivable' sin (according to Islam) of denying God/associating partners with God, even though you won't be utilizing the true benefit of Islam/guidance from God unless you start practicing the other aspects of the faith.

Not sure what you mean, but my understanding is according to the Qur'an which states : "O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His Messenger and the Scripture which He sent down before. And whoever disbelieves in Allah , His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray." (Al Qur'an 4:136)

I do not see the red highlighted statement in Quran 4.136.

Jesus in me
Yes, i think some people have edited the orignal wordings of quran, Thus.. i cannot trust on edited quran. :)

Mine reads "his apostle" but there is no question that the apostle is Mohammed. I have three names. People who know me call me different things but they still know my name and one is as good as the other.

For instance if a text read He went to the temple and the text had been talking bout Jesus it would be fair to say Jesus went to the temple even though it isn't in scripture.

If i say that am a muslim, do you agree ? if agree than its ok, if not, than why ? :)

wa alaikum salam
the term you said "Assalamo Alaikum (wa rahmatullah)" literally means "Peace (and God's blessings) be upon you"
So, we can take that as you are theist.. Someone believing in an absolute being, Ik Onkar, Jehovah, God, Allah (though the attributes people think of Him may change but still one God..) and I think there can be mu'min/believers in every religion (ie. 2:62), knowing that there are levels of belief (4:136). However, for the concept of being Muslim, as Murtaza Mutahhari says,
undoubtedly ‘Islam’ means submission and the religion of Islam is the religion of submission, but the reality of submission has a particular form in each age. And in this age, its form is the same cherished religion that was brought by the Seal of the Prophets (Muhammad). So it follows that the word ‘Islam’ (submission) (in this age) necessarily applies to it alone.
so, as brother loveroftruth says, you need to ask yourself if you believe in an absolute deity (God) and the hereafter.. and if you have love in your heart for the seal of Prophets.. if you do, you are a muslim inshaAllah..

Here's an article that can be helpful brother,
Quoted from "Heart of the Qur'an: A Commentary to Sura al Yasin, by Ayatullah Dastghaib Shirazi (qs)"

If God leaves man in darkness it would be injustice to man. Tomorrow, on the Day of Judgment, all would say, “O God! Why did You not send a Messenger to us so that we would have followed him?”

O our Lord! Why didst Thou not send to us an apostle, for then we should have followed Thy communications before that we met disgrace and shame. (20:134)

[...]

The messenger must be a human being so that he may sit with them and speak to them. If he is not from the human race he will have no resemblance with man. That is why He says, “Had We wished We would have sent an angel as a guide. But then too he would be necessarily sent in the form of a human being and We would have given him a human face and form and dressed him like humans.”

Acceptance without seeing is more important

At another place Allah says, “If We send an angel in his original form and style and appoint him a guide for men, all of them would die.”

And they say: Why has not an angel been sent down to him? And had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided and then they would not have been respited. (6:8)

The Unseen World has predominance over this world and the angel is from the other world. The Angel belongs to the world of incorporeal beings. How can he be sent for you? If he comes with the same corporeal attributes to the world then there is no such world. Secondly, if an angel appears here it would be visible. What is needed is that one should put faith in the Unseen.

Of course, Almighty God has, also given him (the Prophet) some distinction so that people may not say that the messenger also is like us. He has knowledge and power with him. He must also have a miracle. So they brought dead persons to life and so on.

What do you mean by the seal of Prophets ?
What they have sealed ? One cannot seal love, because love have no limits, we cannot say that there cannot be any more big lover of God in this world today, than that of there was in the past. :)

Excellent question. Thanks.
the door is still open.. it would be against the divine justice if servants of God today were not allowed for sayr suluk (being close to God - not literally of course).. One can love and be loved by God.. and the aim of the Prophets was that also.. [3:31]
And shia Islam has the concept of wilayah as continuation of prophethood.. (Waliyy is not a Prophet, yet he is like a Prophet in many ways.. Such as in the hadith al-manzilah) So, there can be and have been great lovers of God.. But that Muhammad (pbuh&hp) is the seal of the Prophets means, no such great men of God today will bring new laws as it is a perfect religion [5:3].. I also want to suggest a book by Murtaza Mutahhari; "Revelation and Prophethood" in which he explains more about it.. Thanks

Hi. We don't believe in the tahrif/alteration of Quran.
It is true that there is a Quranic verse [15:9] which states that Allah is the protector of the Reminder. However we believe that logically we cannot prove the lack of alteration in Quran by Quran! And that's why we refer to other recordings. And all authentic traditions state there were no alterations in Quran. You can study it here: Tahrif al-Qur'an or here: The Collection and Preservation of the Qur'an . However, I suggest studying Quran (with commentaries such as Tafsir Nemooneh) first.. that way we can analyse it ourselves, if it makes sense or not. thanks

Sorry brother, but i cannot trust anybody except "Muhammed Sahib" that there isn't any alteration in quran because several times i have seen the same people fighting on the meanings of quran :)

nice to know about your trust.. and good thing is those people don't "fight" on account of the text, rather they disagree upon the interpretation which is quite normal.. :)
