I just finished watching the entire series for the 4th time and could not help but transfer the skullduggery onto the just past election cycle.

"skuduggery": An ancient term describing what archaeologists do when they unearth a dead person.:p

I expect Francis Underwood would be an improvement over reality. He's no more ambitious, calculating, and cynical than your average "real" politician, but, on the other hand, he also actually accomplishes things.

Repeat often:
Vince Foster committed suicide. Vince Foster committed suicide.
Vince Foster committed suicide. Vince Foster committed suicide.

There!
Got it?
Repeat something questionable often enough and it becomes fact.

"The U.S. Government knew in advance the Japanese would bomb
Pearl Harbor and let over 2,000 people die just so we could enter
WWII with public support."

Just keep repeating that and it will become fact.

" I did not have sex with that woman..................................................."

See now it's true. He didn't.

"Benghazi? Nothing bad happened at Benghazi."
"Benghazi? Nothing bad happened at Benghazi."
"Benghazi? Nothing bad happened at Benghazi."
"Benghazi? Nothing bad happened at Benghazi."

See it's all better now and you can have a conscious as clear and
free as Hillary's.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I don't think Assange got his info from the Russians. It's a matter of plausible deniability on their part. No, he got it through a spoof who claimed to be Latvian. They're not sure if the Latvian was a Russian, but they are pretty confident he wasn't Latvian.

This is a thinly veiled attempt to hide behind the truth. He can semi-truthfully say that he didn't get it from Russia, but that doesn't mean it wasn't Russia who did the hacking. Does it really matter if the go between was Russian or Latvian? All of our intelligence agencies are pretty convinced. Even Trump's Security Advisor says that it's the Russians. Only Comrade Trump, his close friend Putin and his acolytes contend that the Russkies didn't do it. Mighty peculiar. Why doesn't Comrade Trump want the US to pursue this? What could compel him to hide it from us. We'll have to ponder this for a bit...

I like how both sides quickly dismiss anything that doesn't support their desired narrative.
I like how Hillary and Obama and so many other democrats made this claim, endlessly, that 17 govt agencies have determined Russians were behind wikileaks, etc. And yet --- they still have been unable to produce the evidence. I do not know why it is to their advantage to withhold the evidence, do you? I also do not know why 17 different federal agencies are on this case? Don't that have more important primary duties to handle?

Just because the right has issues and embellishes the truth, does not mean there is not more serious corruption and skullduggery being deployed by the Left. Russia told Obama to put up or shut up on this wikileaks and hacking claim. And he still hasn't. That speaks volumes to me.

It was the Germans! Payback! (note this is a rumor that I just thought up, so do not spread it)
When the tottering empires of East & West lie in ashes, Mitteleuropa shall rise!

As it turns out, while far less fun and much slower than wars of conquest it's way more effective to just make yourself indispensable if you want to be a global power.

He was shot in the back during a supposed botched robbery but strangely nothing was taken from him.
In fairness, a good number of burglars lose their stomach for theft if it comes to killing someone. That's a pretty common occurrence. Shoot them, and suddenly you're reflecting on your life-choices up to this point.

You're really not this naive, are you? When I did this for a living, back at the turn of the century and before things got really complicated, the last thing you wanted to do was to let the hackers know how they were caught. Much of what I did was done in such a way that they never knew they were being intercepted. These are both trade and state secrets and you want them to divulge them? Get real. The agencies haven't listened to Obama or the Dems just like they won't listen to Comrade Trump or the Pubs.

Our cyber security has been compromised. Every agency has been hacked at one point or another. They are trying to stay ahead of N Korea, Russian and hundreds of other state sponsored hackers. So, don't think they're going to let you in on how they know what they know. It's none of your business. It's none of my business. I'm OK with that.

Here is three different sources, pick your poison:
WikiLeaks' Assange: Russia didn't give us emails - CNNPolitics.com
Donald Trump backs Julian Assange over Russia hacking claim - BBC News
Assange: Our source is not the Russian government — RT News

If this is true I'd say this raises many questions about the C.I.A. the N.S.A and the current Obama administrations motives and actions, I'd say in the case of the C.I.A. it might have something to do with the situation in Syria. I also find it interesting that this current outburst of the "red scare" spread to the U.K. and the EU with Brexit being blamed on Russian meddling, Merkels almost pre-blaming Russians for her upcoming political loss and tying in the French FN and other so dubbed "far-right" parties in Europe with Russian interlopers even when the connection is imaginative at best.

Thanks for your response. However, in my opinion there is far more at stake here than just one method of cyber hacking being exposed. It is the legitimacy of the president-elect, it is the serious charges coming from the White House of an unfair election, and so on. I, personally, am far more inclined to believe that Barack Obama and company are full of B.S. on most of their charges and that is why they are coming forth with no evidence, than I am to believe that Obama cares about any method being compromised. His history is clearly (imo) one of deception, cover ups, lies, denials, and un-American activities. For example; he openly lied about a youtube video being the cause of a spontaneous riot in Benghazi. He knew it was not about a video, he also knew it was planned not spontaneous, but did he care about the truth or rights of Americans? No. He also held the nation hostage for 2 ½ years before he finally decided to release his birth certificate. Why? Why would he put a nation through that for so long? Selfish egomaniac at a minimum. Or perhaps it is a forgery and took that long to produce. (Don’t expect the MSM to ever report that of course, they too have an agenda.)

You said: >> “Our cyber security has been compromised. Every agency has been hacked at one point or another.” Exactly. So your reason or their excuse that “we cannot show the evidence because it will reveal our technology methods” falls very flat, imo. These hacking operations happen all the time every day basically amongst all first world nations. The spying is endless. So if Obama would provide the proof he would seriously damage Trump’s credibility and his mission. And given the fact there are countless ways to hack and new ones created all the time, the Trump/republican disparaging would seem to be a far more important and valuable objective.

I think there's a very good chance of you being correct as a direct connection between Assange and the Russians would be too obvious. Now, if there's a 3rd party that's a go-between, it would be interesting if the intelligence agencies found out whom it was.

BTW, did you catch another of Trump's lies that he twittered last night whereas he question why there was a supposed delay with meeting the intelligence officers until this Friday, whereas one of the officers said that it was originally scheduled then.

Exactly what I was thinking concerning a proxy between Assange and the Russians. But this is all conspiracy theories.

If Assange wants to fully assure his audience of his words, then gosh be darn. Good ole fashion evidence would definitely do the trick. Go figure.

There's a good chance that they do. Again, part of what they do is to deceive the hackers. They don't want the hackers to know, nor their go betweens before it's all ready to go down.

Yes, and I'm glad they are calling him on his crap outright. They aren't being mean or disrespectful about it, but they aren't going to let the bully bigot go unchallenged.

Veritas was "what"? I don't understand what you're saying.
the Veritas videos that came out; supposedly new revealing info showed a bunch of actors of people supposedly trying to sway the election at booths. Ironically they were the ones holding the camera on themselves like they were "spying on their own selves."
Also they showed a video of people stuffing ballots in Russia from their last election and titled it the democrats tampering/ stealing the election. Same thing with crappy one shot titled news and then a video of something the opposite or partially chopped up.
I think there was one, of a dude that dressed up in a doctor's coat walked around saying hi to democrats at a convention, claiming he was a doctor, title was something like democrats are stupid. Wow.
Which was maybe to show the opposite for or against democrats. But anyways peoples comments went all over the place with supposedly new information which really wasn't. Some of them even believed the ballot video that democrats were stuffing ballots.
No matter how much people tried to tell them that it was a video that was put out some while ago from Russia last (not that long ago actually) election; people got all upset.
