Oh gosh :/ And that isn't supposed to be painful, though, right?

And you found that partial birth abortion can be after the baby is born?

I'm not defending it, just going for accuracy.

Not exactly. The procedure I found that was similar to what you described doesn't induce labor, it pulls the fetus out. I would guess that's the one that's harder on the mother's body.

What you are calling "partial birth abortion" is actually "intact dilation and extraction" as one of its correct names. It is illegal in the US under most circumstances, I am not sure when it can actually be used but I assume it would only be used if the mother was in severe and sudden danger. In the UK it is only used in extreme circumstances and would never be used under normal conditions.

This can not be done after the baby is born, there are no forms of abortion that involve this.

Ah, I wonder do you think it would be easier to define what isn't human rather than what is?
Immensely easier, considering how many humans there are, each of whom has an opinion.
Edit: Thinking about it, I suppose I'd have to amend that to say "equally easier" because for every opinion of what is human there is equally an opnion of what is not human.

Why so? And this reminds me of a quote from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Because to define "human" legally would be to limit everyone else to whatever one generic human is.

I can conceive that none of us would qualify.

What about the 98% of cases that are the woman's OWN fault for getting pregnant? it's here own responsibility and she needs to deal with the decisions she's made.

Abortion also does not teach anything. I am a teenager, btw, and I know of several people at my school that have had multiple abortions. It's pretty sad...
There are zero cases in which it is the woman's "fault" for getting pregnant.

I assign "fault" so I know.

I was under the impression that it was the guys fault 98% of the time.

You know what I mean though.. When she willingly had sex with or without protection - and in most cases without. Only 2% are either rape victims or have the situation where it seriously hurts or kills the mother. (Sorry if this statistic isn't correct; we learned it in healthy class. It does sound pretty accurate though..)

Um, no, I don't know what you mean. If she "willingly had sex" with or without protection it was with another person. There is another person involved.

Right, but if she 'willingly' had sex with him, than it isn't technically his fault. In a sense, yes, but the girl knew what she was doing as well...

Done here.

I don't think there has ever been a single pregnancy that was a woman's fault alone; certainly not 98%. In every case I know of, there was a man involved.

However, "fault" is not relevant to what I said. I hold that it's immoral and a violation of a woman's civil rights to force her to carry a pregnancy to term against her will. Nothing about the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy changes that. Also, I feel quite certain that people who think it's appropriate to punish a careless or promiscuous woman by forcing her to have an unwanted child do not -- even remotely, even for a second -- urge such a punishment out of concern for that child.

And if he was willing, it isn't technically hers. Right.

And as we've apparently agreed that I am the determiner of "fault", then I lay it on Mother Nature who determines that the sperm and the egg should come together at a particular moment.

Wel i'm against it because the law downranks the fathers wishes in the choice.
Though i feel some compensation should be made if you make the woman carry the baby but if either parant desires the child alive it should be allowed to be born alive.
Cases of rape or terminal pregnancy's should be exeptions
If a men want children, they can sow their seed where it's wanted. There's no need to turn women into breeding slaves for their convenience.

That's not the goal.

Obviously, but is it painful thats all I'm asking.
Because that comes into something totally different - torture. And if we cant torture animals, I would seriously hope that fetuses could ATLEAST fall into their category of importance in some peoples minds..
