Atheists: What would be evidence of God’s existence?

Sheldon

No, they haven't been doing anything but sitting on their asses, waiting for me to prove to them that God exists to them

It's your claim, claims carry an epistemological burden of proof, so to speak.

so they won't have to DO anything for themselves.

Why would an atheists have to do anything to evidence your claim a deity exists? That makes no rational or epistemological sense.

I just screen shot what your link opens. I still don't see where it says that.

Your links says...
"1. an acceptance that something exists or is true,"

But it doesn't say "especially one without proof."

You added that of your own words behind the comma making it part of the link.

Nope, as I said my link shows what I quoted, I have added nothing.

I just followed that link and here's what it says verbatim again..

belief
/bɪˈliːf/
Learn to pronounce

noun
  1. 1.
an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof.
Exactly the same as your other link.

Here's your quote/link

With that link it doesn't say "especially one without proof."

If anyone else can see that from that quoted link above, or link in post 2082, let them speak.

I just did, the link I'm following is what I quoted. Are you suggesting I've lied?

Can't seem to paste a screen grab image into any post?

I'm telling you it isn't there for me. Which is why I asked others to click your link to see if they see what you see or don't see it as I don't

Well it's there in my link, and when I followed your link it was there, even you said it didn't contain it? So clearly that is where I copied it from, and you even referenced a separate link that gave the same definition, so what's the problem?

Or are you claiming I have lied?

That's the link verbatim, I can do no more.

A little experiment. Click the quoted link and tell what you see

Do you see this..
"1. an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. "his belief in the value of hard work"

Or this..
"1. an acceptance that a statement is true, especially one without proof."

or in the different reference you gave above.
