Apparently. But I fully expect those of them with a modicum of mental health to have learned better since.

How the Republican primary voters could pick someone who approved of racial crimes unfolding before him, as the Republican nominee, above the other choices, I will never understand. The Republican Primary voters did not think so.
He isn't wrong though. Trump has made mistake after mistake. He's proven himself to be a man of little or no character, who seems to revel in relationships with tirants while angering our long time allies. He has weakened human rights, undermined both the fbi and the media. And this is all in the last week.
To say that your only reason for following him is because you dislike those apposed to him, shows a distinct lack of character. It's also nonsense as I know people who dislike Trump from all sides of the political spectrum.
Do you think Trump is an improvement, though?I didn't say that I "dislike" those who oppose him. My main point is that I don't trust them. They're the same people and political factions who have been ruling over America these past decades, and they've screwed the people and driven the country into the ground. Why should I trust them now? Why should anyone trust the FBI or the media? Give me some good reasons, and then we'll see which one of us "shows a distinct lack of character."

And is that a good thing?Improvement? No. A monkey wrench thrown into the works? Yes.
And is that a good thing?

What about those who do not support him who were never part of that establishment? The average Joe who just would rather see someone else in that office? Do you mistrust them as well?I didn't say that I "dislike" those who oppose him. My main point is that I don't trust them. Exactly, and we also need to remember that the Republicans have long praised the FBI and CIA as if they owned it, but now with the Groper-In-Chief in office they've turned their back on both. IOW, they have bought Trump's stories hook, line, sinker, fisherman and they even have swallowed the boat. Why should anyone trust the FBI? Because they've been there a lot longer than the current sitting president and the FBI is not all about the Presidency. The FBI is mostly about other matters. Now Comey messed up in some big ways, but it's not right to write off the whole agency and their history.
What will Trump enthusiasts do once Trump is out of office? Mike Pence is no Trump.Exactly, and we also need to remember that the Republicans have long praised the FBI and CIA as if they owned it, but now with the Groper-In-Chief in office they've turned their back on both. Of all the Trump voters I personally know, not oneWhat will Trump enthusiasts do once Trump is out of office? Mike Pence is no Trump.
Mike who? What will Trump enthusiasts do once Trump is out of office? Mike Pence is no Trump.
Pence is very likable. I'm not surprised.Of all the Trump voters I personally know, not one expressed any desire to see President Pence. But a few anti-Trumpers have favored him. That was a surprise.
lol.Mike who?
That would explain it. Many voters want a likeable president,Pence is very likable. I'm not surprised.
Many would even support his theocratic bent. That would explain it. Many voters want a likeable president,
even if he (or she) has agendas they'd oppose, eg, Pence's
theocratic bent.
It takes me a while to understand this because likeability
doesn't matter much to me.
Aye, that is indeed one element on the left. Many would even support his theocratic bent.
Do you think? I would think the left would want to avoid theological stuff. I would think the right would be drawn to that more.Aye, that is indeed one element on the left.
So would I.Do you think? I would think the left would want to avoid theological stuff.
I agree.I would think the right would be drawn to that more.
