I recall being at a store in Columbia MD several decades ago, & 2 elderly gals came in to return some mugs with stylized penguins in awkward positions
glazed upon them. When first purchased, they didn't know what the birds were up to. But later, it dawned upon them that soon little mugs would be afoot.
Now horrified, they wanted their money back. Of course, I now have that set.
