Bands We Haven't Heard Of

To Save A Lamb
Mae? The ones who did The Everglow? Are we talking about the same band?
o/' Here's a night, and it shines.
And it calls us on and on.
So be here by my side, and watch the stars.
They're ours.
Make a wish or just take charge.
The moment comes get lost and go far.
I think that we've got what it takes, to get this heart start beating again.
So take it all the way. o/'

If you're talking about that one, then yes. : D

That would be the one. I love Mae. They have a fantastic sound. Though Everglow is the only album of theirs that I own. What albums do you own and do you have an recommendations?

1. The Quakes (Psychobilly)
2. Bella Morte (Goth Rock)
3. Voltaire (Folk/ Goth Rock)
4. Rozz Williams/Christian Death (Death Rock)
5. Gackt (J-Rock)
Hmmm if you have heard of them then that is pretty cool but if you have not and you like dark or fun music check them out.

Destination: Beautiful is their only other one, and my favourite.

Voltaire & Christian Death are both very good.

Yep, know those as well as just about every other metal band mentioned on this thread.

I know Lamb of God toured with Children of Bodom, who I was going to mention, but I know at least a few members have heard of them.

I was at the philly date of that tour, where Lamb of God filmed it for a DVD. Great show, even though Children of Bodom only played 4-5 songs. The highlight of the night was Fear Factory though. My neck was so bashed up by the time that Lamb of God were on stage that I had to sit down in the back of the club.

hmm.... five bands that no one else knows...hmm, well I won't try to be too hard with this.

Bathory- (One man band from Sweden whose work made the framework for most Black Metal and Viking Metal)

Swans- (A Band from New York that continually evolved their sound. At first part of the "No-Wave" scene. Written some of the most powerful Music ever. Think Ambient, Metal, Folk, Alternative & Industrial.)

Kreator- (One of the three legends of German Thrash Metal, whose scene picked up right when the American one did. Band is still going strong and at the turn of the century returned to their Thrash sound which they diverted from in the early 90's. Think German "Slayer", but with their own vibe.)

Skinny Puppy- (Originators of what could be considered the modern Industrial Scene. Infamous for their stage performances and the sort of anti-mainstream cred they had. Apparently a large influence on Nine Inch Nails)

Burzum- (Infamous one man Black Metal band by Varg Vikernes. Hailed as creating some of the best Atmospheric Black Metal ever. Varg being infamous for burning down dozens of churches in Norway as part of a war on Christianity he and some others took part of. Was sent to prison for the murder of Euronymous, the Guitarist for Black Metal band Mayhem, whom Varg played Bass for shortly. Has been noted in prision to of made Neo-Nazi and Racist remarks. Idolized in the National Socialist Black Metal scene. Will be released from prison likely sometime this year.)

If anyone besides lady_lazarus had heard of the band Enzo (the one I'm in) before I posted, I'll eat my beer bottle.
I think your mouth is pretty safe there from the glass splinters, young Jim.:D

Oh my god, I've heard these guys...hysterical stuff! I've also heard all of the J-rock bands listed so far.

Okay, I'll give it a try, but you guys might have heard some of these:
1. Cowboy Mouth
2. Mulebone
3. World/Inferno Friendship Society
4. Dynamite Hack
5. BUCK-TICK (another J-rock band)

Danisty, the only one I've heard of is Cowboy Mouth. I remember they had a hit on Alternative stations quite a few years ago. Do you remember the songs' title? It was a good song from what I remember.

The song is Jenny Says. It's on the album Are You With Me. It's definitely their best album...it saved my marriage. I've seen these guys in concert 10 times.
