Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
You just don't get it. I REALLY DON'T CARE which denomination IF ANY was the original church. I'm a Jew, not a Christian. I have NO DOG IN THIS RACE.Okay. You believe your source, I believe mine. The difference is that you are looking for the information to back your claim that the Catholic church was first, but I am not trying to find an answer that proves my denomination. Therefore, I believe what I have shown to be the truth.
My ONLY concern here is that history be accurately portrayed.
I get no personal benefit out of concluding that the first century church was Catholic just as I don't get personal benefit out of knowing Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence. If new evidence came to light that showed my conclusions to be incorrect, I would happily change my mind.
But as the evidence stands right now, that's the only possible conclusion I can reach.
You, on the other hand, have a vested interest in me being wrong. You have a huge emotional attachment to your opinion. You will stick to it come hell or high water, because to admit I'm right would undermine your religious beliefs. It is you, sir, that only looks for information that backs your claim.
Classic projection on your part.
