And that's why we don't agree. It's why we are on completely different wavelengths.
Where did they pull that number from? And how are they defining "illegal immigrant?" I mean, they start by declaring that 50,000 "illegal immigrants" have "poured into the country" this year and then they throw out this 1.7 million projection that appears to have been pulled right out of someone's a**.
It’s a forecast:
Our forecast for the balance of CY 2021 assumes a decrease in apprehensions following the precedent of 2000. In such an event, apprehensions at the US southwest border would total 1,581,000 for FY 2021 and 1,690,000 for [the] calendar year 2021. The fiscal year figure would be the third worst in the historical record, and for the calendar year, the absolute worst in the historical record by nearly 100,000.”
So I am all for legal immigration, where people are vetted, assimilated into the US and become active, responsible citizens who contribute to society and enjoy the freedoms that come from God and protected by the Constitution.
I am not for people coming to the US without permission crossing the border, not vetted or assimilated into society like what’s going on now, it’s a free for all now.
