Just realize though for some spiritual people, you are setting this up as only political and not something that is 'from Spirit.'
For if you did, you would realize from 1 Corinthians 7: 8-9 (and rest of that chapter) how marriage is to be viewed:
Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. 9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
With this in mind, it is I would say not very Christ-like to do unto another as you would not have done to yourself. IOW, to say we must marry for if we don't we are engaging in sexual immorality, but they must not marry for they are engaged in sexual immorality. If we simply turned this around and law of the land is it is good and decent for homosexuals to marry and when they do their bonding is sanctified in Spirit, but heterosexuals who appear to be highly sexually active must never be allowed to marry for they continue to engage in sinful behavior (burning with passion). If that were the scene, I would think a 'good Christian' would see wisdom in the 1 Corinthians passage and do everything in their (political) power to ensure marriage is made available for all consenting adults, otherwise the Christian community is essentially being led by the devil to justify an untenable position.
