Bisexuality - Is it a thing?

So you do care?

If you don't care why fuss about the labels others use?

I said I could care less if someone is one, not that I could care less if they use the term - there's a huge difference. In fact, what I said in that quote leads to a reason why I find the words useless.

(NOTE: By saying I care about the terms seems like I'm saying I'm absolutely against it, when I'm more passive about it; It's simply just a small annoyance to me when the terms are used inappropriately to the topic.)

If you don't understand why I would call myself pansexual rather than bisexual or why I also call myself sapiosexual - then you have two reasonable options:
1. Roll with whatever I say I am
2. Ask questions until you understand.

Usually it's the former... in fact it always is.

Neither of these requires you to do anything but respect the other person.

Which I do outloud. In my head I guess I'm just an ******* then since I get annoyed about it, I just can't help but think of thousands of parades for thousands of different sexuality rights when I hear some word like that.

Also you did say that you considered all the terms unnecessary:

You consider biseuxality as a term = hetero = homo = "wild unneccessary."

If that's not what you meant you may want to rephrase that.

I'm guessing you missed this post. Quite alright.

If you use the words in a wrong way, thousands will call you out, offended.

But seriously; I can understand classifying homosexuality, heterosexuality, and maybe an account for bisexuality. But I've heard so many words that it really just seems like a big joke and everyone wants to be sexually unique and create more complicated terms to stem off describing themselves.

It goes from: "Mom? Dad? I'm homosexual"

To: "Mom? Dad? I am a pansexual transgendered homosexual-lenient polygamist" blah blah blah.

You mean you "couldn't care less then?"

Or you know, queer pride is a thing. I don't need a pansexual pride parade to ID as pan. I don't understand being annoyed at a word.

Your first one was still present, and forgive me if "maybe" permitting me to identify isn't terribly pleasant because my actual orientation is unnecessary to you. How kind of you to perhaps allow me to be bisexual. :sarcastic

Almost all gender and sexual minorities are represented at Pride Parades.

Ahh... Yep, my bad.

Yeah, but that's just a picture that comes into my head. There's so many different sexualities that the whole subject becomes stretched out: many of which haven't been termed until modernly, as if it's a new thing. It's just a simple thing - similarly how people get annoyed at how tomato is pronounced.

It's not that I'm against you being anything, and I'm not against you using terms. When people use terms I find unnecessary, like "Alright man I get the picture", I'm not going to say "No, don't say that, I don't like it". In this thread I'm not trying to convince people into using those terms, but simply stating that I personally have a pet peeve and doing my best explaining why.

Yeah i'm not terribly comfortable with your assessment of the matter based on your posts in this thread. :sarcastic

I'm saying that some people I know that were very into transsexualism, have pretty much ditched it recently, as if they hardly care anymore. They never talk about it anymore and seem to have dropped interest in general LGBT subject. I'd think the surgery is huge news to talk about - how it impacts their life. It's strange how they never mentioned either getting the surgery done, or sad that they can't afford it.

Also, in order to get this done in one post instead of another; I can see where my way of saying it could be interpreted wrong in my very first post in this thread (#2). But I did not intend to say "Homo or Hetero" were wild, unnecessary terms but the others are (except Bi, being that I compared my personal feelings on the sexualities to it)

Tell me, what was so confusing about my post?

The entire thing:

I do know what transsexualism is, I had met plenty (over the internet), to the point it seems that it isn't uncommon. Many of them, though, grow up to be hipsters rather than the opposite gender.

Saying that transexuals 'grow up to be hipsters'?

That makes no sense, at all. Anybody that I know that is transgender typically transitions.

Hipster isn't even a sexuality.

It's a weird little subculture.

The ones I met, yeah. Transsexuals in general? Nah.

I never implied it was a sexuality.

Even Skoliosexuals? Or Neutrois? Or Androgyne (I'd say more believable)? Sapiosexuals? etc etc

Yes. It's not like you have to give every classification an individual float in a parade. Everyone's welcome to walk in one. Allies included typically. That's what Queer pride is about.

Then that isn't exactly representing all the sexualities like I was talking about. Yeah, sure, everyone's welcome whatever they're into. I basically was saying too many Pokemon for one episode.
