Both VP candidates have authoritarian leanings :(

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
"Limited" isn't the issue, nor the solution. It's just a silly buzz-word the corporate criminals and their cronies in the media use when they want to convince a lot of stupid people to disempower their own government so the criminals can be free to behave like the criminals that they are. We need the government to be "right sized" and rightfully empowered so that it can do the many tasks we need it to perform for us. Not the least of which is to reign in the criminal greed that the capitalist business model is based on.
Oh is the buzz word the same type as "fascist" and "narcissist?" See, here is the deal to me - I really do believe in a government that is limited, starting for instance with term limits for ALL state and federal government representatives (which will never pass). So for me, it is not a "buzz word" - it has real meaning.

They're not mere "buzzwords" when used to
describe someone who does indeed pose risks
to the country because he is indeed a fascist
narcissist suffering from grandiosity.

Limited government is good.
The Constitution stands in the way of many
authoritarians who want boots on necks.

Not the same at all.

Term limits are not a solution, either. If the person does a good job, we should let them stay in it, and keep doing it. The issue is not how long they are there, it's how well or badly they do the job. So once again, the "limiting government" buzz phrase misses the point and so solves nothing.

Well, I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one. I believe that term limits will work. The problem seems to be that many people enter into "public service" without a pot to pee in and leave wealthy. Things that make me go "Hmmmmmm..."

Will work at what? What do you think they will result in doing that you think needs doing?

That would indicate economic corruption. Like bribery. Which term limits do NOTHING to address.

The solution to bad government is not less or no government. The solution to bad government is to FIX IT. Size and time limits don't fix anything. They just make the process less effective.

Like I said, I think we may have to agree to disagree on this one. I have never met a government entity which actually had my best interests in mind.
