British Values

Oh, I have and can find nothing. That's why I'm asking for help.

Celtic researches, on the origin, traditions & language, of the ancient Britons; : Davies, Edward, 1756-1831 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

The claims of Ossian examined and appreciated : an essay on the Scottish and Irish poems published under that name : in which the question of their genuineness and historical credit is freely discussed : together with some curious particulars relative to the structure and state of poetry in the Celtic dialects of Scotland and Ireland : Davies, Edward, 1756-1831 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Davies also has a book on the British Druids... which probably aren't what you've been told they are. Granted that they have, as Davies even says, many gross errors from what the Patriarchal Religion must have been... but these records of the Welsh Cymry are the closest thing that comes to the beginning of the Nation of Albion.

There is also a book dealing with the beginning of the Welsh alphabet, by William Owen Pughe. And as I said, a book called the Patriarchal Religion, by James. The discussion of whether or not humans were sacrificed by the Druids, is done by Williams.

A grammar of the Welsh language : William Owen Pughe : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

The patriarchal religion of Britain, or, A complete manual of ancient British Druidism : containing a full development of its true origin, primitive character, peculiar tenets, mode of instruction, traditionary art, orders, costume, privileges, and influence : with specimens of Druidical compositions in triads and triplets ... : James, D. (David), 1803-1871 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

An Essay, on the Question "Whether the British Druids Offered Human Sacrifices." : John Williams : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Personally, if I were going to learn another language, I'd use the Welsh Grammar by Pughe... and also, if I had musical talent, actually... it's a fascinating book.

Some of these are available hard-copy... but having bought one such thing, I found that it came from a very bad scan, where the pictures were virtual mud. Let the buyer beware. But I don't think that all of these reprints are the same, or none of these companies would still be in business.

[and not one word of my explanation is necessary... since this forum translates what shows up in the http window... grrr]

They also teach us that the first people to come to these lands walked.
The English Channel is a fairly recent phenomena

You should read some of the old books where they are swearing up and down that what was said about the moving of tin... even when the older authors apparently told it as it was. There is reason, today, to think that the whole SE corner of Britain was joined to the continent... Doggerland... isn't that what they call it? The last time I read about it, they were digging for DNA. And at the same time, I read where the coasts of Cornwall used to be covered with trees. Is Britain going underground? Are they right about Atlantis being off the shore of NW Europe... somewhere near the Scilly Isles? Some say that they think the Iberians were Atlantis people and that the Pelasgians fought them. The Pelasgians were, according to how they look anyway, Egyptians... which makes the story of Pelasgian letters morphing into the Phoenician alphabet... an entirely Egyptian event. Davies Celtic Researches talks about this fact, from his reading of Sanchoniathan, saying that the original language of Shinar was preserved best from the land of Mizraim--Osiris, aka.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
Apparently you're not familiar with Islam. Sharia practiced in non-muslim lands is not to circumvent the secular laws of the land.
This has been pointed out roughly a million times. They'll actively lie and twist your words to justify clinging to the fear that Shariah law is somehow threatening them.

I don't think there's any point trying to argue it. They want it to be true so badly that they'll not only disregard, but outright attack both any contradictory evidence, and the supplier thereof.

One set of laws that treat everyone equally is more than enough for any country.

How many western laws are practiced in Saudi Arabia or Iran for instance?

Local laws and customs - Saudi Arabia travel advice

Local laws and customs - Iran travel advice

It seems that Islamic countries demand that we respect their laws in their countries, but Islam is not prepared to reciprocate.

Why does Islam demand special treatment in non-Islamic countries?

Same reason Judaism and Christianity have church law in various countries. This has been explained to you repeatedly.

Also, if Saudi Arabia does something you disagree with, how is emulating them meant to help? You understand Saudi Arabia doesn't speak for all Islam or Muslims, right?

Then why are you arguing against this principle?

In the West, "Sharia law" is typically done in the framework of alternative dispute resolution: if all parties to a legal dispute agree to a method to resolve the dispute, they can seek permission to resolve it according to that method.

This is available to anyone. Corporations use it to spare the expense of a trial, people who want privacy use it to keep their affairs out of the public eye, some Christians use it to arbitrate their disputes according to the tenets of their religion, and some Muslims use it to arbitrate their disputes according to the tenets of their religion.

So why are you suggesting that Muslims - and Muslims alone, apparently - should live under a separate, more restrictive set of laws from everyone else?

Sharia should be outlawed in Western countries.

For instance, we do not need Blasphemy laws back in freethinking societies in any form whatsoever.

So you are asking for two sets of laws: everyone else can arbitrate their disputes as they see fit, but not Muslims.

What happened to your "one set of laws" rhetoric? Why did you decide to abandon this position?

According to you, but Jews and Muslims have been practicing religious laws for centuries. There are religious laws, and then there are secular laws. Secular laws do not address certain religious customs.

Why do you expect other countries to adopt western value systems?

Any country in which you are a foreigner of, demands your respect because one, you didn't build that country nor are born there and two, you are a stranger to the land and out of respect for its inhabitants you ought to "do as the Romans." Besides Islam is not a person but a religion in which its adherents are persons, who they themselves consist of varying degrees. Muslims are people just like you and I.

If anyone else is trying to reintroduce Blasphemy laws into the UK, they should be outlawed as well.

The last successful prosecution for blasphemy was in 1977, when the publisher of Gay News, Denis Lemon, was given a suspended sentence for printing a poem about a Roman centurion's love for Jesus.

The private prosecution had been brought by the campaigner Mary Whitehouse.

Blasphemy laws are lifted

In the UK, Blasphemy laws were a thing of the past and should remain in past. We do not need them or want them.

How many of these other laws affect me as a non-believer?

As it is becoming increasingly difficult to criticise Islam in the UK, are non-Muslims already practising Sharia?

Why are you going on about blasphemy laws? The only people to institute blasphemy laws in your country or mine have been Christians.

Could you try answering the question? Sharia law in Western countries=/= blasphemy law.

Here's an idea. Try looking up what the actual law is, rather than what some random youtube guy says.
