Did you break it dancing on sand?
I wish it was that glamorous. I tripped on a box.

Did you break it dancing on sand?
Ouch!
Which bone(s)?
Clean break?
I've broken both in separate accidents.
Don't do a spiral fracture of the tibia.
It means surgery.
Breaking the only fibula is best.
I was on my way to dance.Get well soon, sand dancing must be a perilous hobby.
Ouch!!!Hope you get well quickly. I only faced a dislocation of a digit, left-hand forefinger (put it back myself). It remained swollen for decades.
Hope you get better... I know it is a process.
I had six screws in my ankle years ago... softball weekend-warrior accident. Visions of grandeur that were dashed as I slid into home base. I slid alright, right into a hospital bed.
How did it happen?
Hi, y'all. I broke my ankle last Wednesday and this is the first time I have sat in front of my computer. Hope everyone has had a great week! Going back to bed but will try to get on here again soon.
Pain really has been minimal. No meds needed. It looks like 2 tennis balls and is really pretty colors, but not too painful.Hope you heal quickly, and can control the pain!
I think you win. Update: After seeing Wu Wei's post, you are runner up.Hope you get well soon. Anyone beat three broken ankles - clumsy oaf that I am?
Oh my goodness! Hope it's okay. I err on the side of safety and health. I follow instructions to a tee. We dancers wanna be able to dance again.Hope you’re better soon
I’ve done that three times, same ankle, it does set better. Just takes time and listen to the doctor

last time was about 10 years ago, and it was not dancing, it was all martial arts. But I wish you a speedy recovery so you can return to dancing soon
I perhaps should add some information that might be useful to others perhaps. The first occurred whilst mountaineering and was a simple torsion fracture of the fibula. That seemed to heal OK. Some decades later, I appeared to be getting flat feet after driving too much and walking less. Instead of seeking out professional advice, I (foolishly) chose to get some inserts, and which seemingly helped to cure the problem. But, they may have stressed the bones in some fashion and unknown to me at the time. Hence, a few years ago, I stepped sideways in the garden only to find the previously broken ankle give way painfully and obviously rather badly, and this was followed by the other doing so too. The bad one was pinned and both seem to be reasonably normal now. Our health service, being somewhat overstretched, did nothing to ascertain the cause of the breaks, so it is only my opinion as to what caused the later breakage.I think you win. Finally, my follow up is on Monday. Looking forward to PT.
Literally ... one step at a time. I hope each one leads to a full recovery. Finally, my follow up is on Monday. Looking forward to PT.
The only bone that I ever broke was a toe bone. Or perhaps the joint was just very messed up. It did not heal particularly straight. Aside from that I only had some other minor injuries and a couple of shoulder dislocations.
Ow! I did not do a lot of tournaments. Too easy to get injured. That was where one of my shoulder dislocations happened. The pain dropped me, but it popped back in when I hit the mat so I was back up. I was behind 2 nothing between that and another score. But then I made my big comeback. The next day I found out he broke his big toe on my shoulder. We were both in more pain that day then the day that we were sparring.Ankle 3 times, fractured my knee cap, broke a toe, tore meniscus, and repaired meniscus, in both knees, replaced one knee...so far
