Violet.
Sure, we have all heard...
"By the Power of Jesus' Name, be healed!"
"In the Name of Jesus, we pray"
"Jesus! The Name exalted above all Names!"
but this name "Jesus",
to Whom does it refer?
After all, surely we all know that "Jesus'" 'name'
was not Jesus at all.
Does it matter to you that your savior,
going by the NAME of Jesus, never existed?
There was possibly once a Y'shua, yes,
who fits the basic historical identity of your savior.
(or some other very similar Hebrew name)
So why then is the name 'Jesus' more powerful and exalted
than the name Y'shua? ,
which would have much more likely ACTUALLY BEEN/BE your "saviors" Name--
the Name given him by his father.
Why would you rename God's Son,
and then exalt your Own name for him in place of His Own Father's?
And if you pray and do miracles by the power of a name
that never really belonged to anyone in particular,
or to anyone in specific who actually ever did hold that name,
who/where does the supposed power of that name
actually come from?
By the Power of "Jesus'" Name!
Think about it very literally.
It begs the question,
Who was/is the"Jesus" of this statement... and What is his Name?
(as we know that the christian savior's ACTUAL Hebrew name was most certainly Not 'Jesus')
By the Power of Jesus' Holy Name!
So WHAT IS his Holy Name then?
and exactly WHO is 'he'?
Is Jesus just another guy living down in Mexico?
What makes this name "J-e-s-u-s" a thing of great authenticity ?
In what way is it not a counterfeit?
and is the power of a counterfeit name
,by extension, not a counterfeit power?
(thread directed mainly towards christians
and anyone else who has anything constructive or insightful to add.)
