Is it in your understanding possible to understand what a God truly are?

When people discuss or debate about God. Do they actually understand God?

OP starter's
I don't know God (i believe in God)
I don't think my understanding about God is actually the right understanding.

I see we can only see the Attributes that eminate from God through a Messenger.

I do not see we can ever know the Essence of God, as even the Mesengers do not know this.

I would say I agree with your view Tony :)
God's true existence is so far away from my understanding that to even try to explain to others what God is, is impossible.

But I believe a human being can show the light of God though their own action words and thoughts.

Yes indeed, I see that is our purpose in life, to reflect the light of the virtues.

Fathomless mystery seems to be one of God's defining qualities. And perhaps also, one of the defining qualities of the universe.

The desire to know and to understand everything, seems endemic to our nature as humans. Perhaps this longing is one of those human qualities which is closest to the divine. Of course, the wise person will generally acknowledge that the more she knows, the less she understands.

God is the controller of simulations, a reality based virtual world programmer of human consciousness.

I am human, I can very well define God. There is at least one human who very well understands God!

I understand God. It was me all along, living in my mind alive and well.

There are those who believe in God, those who do not believe in God, and those who think they are God. Which of these are you?
All of the above.

I believe the God in my imagination because that God is my own creation.

Don't believe in God in the real world.

In the cerebral realm of imagination and fantasy, I can be a God as well.

IMO:

- God is a human creation, so God is theoretically understandable.

- every person's God is different, so understanding one person's God doesn't necessarily mean you understand the next person's God.

... so theoretically yes, but practically no.

What if God is a form of energy that exist everywhere also in our universe?
Energy with consciousness

We understand as much as we need to understand to love God. Jesus was the perfect representation of the Father so we can see God's attributes by looking at Jesus. Doesn't mean we totally understand God, of course, just that we know enough about his nature in relation to humans.
We all see reality through a dark glass in this life.
