Can Shiva cheat on Shakti?

All you do is insult every Hindu in this DIR, you are an antagonist of everything Hindu. You say you don't know anything about "stupid" muslims, but you do not know anything about Hinduism, either.

The purpose of your antagonistic "hit" questions are simply to harass Hindus and nothing else, but the nature of your endless, and childish "questions" is to troll and abuse Hindus on this DIR.

Yet you do not even understand the responses, but your demands for response is not worthy of any because you are not the boss in charge here. You cannot even comprehend the childish nature that others see in your attitude.

Really, it is time you leave the Hindu DIR and go to the religious debates section, this DIR is for Hindus, not antagonists.

Regarding "mommy", you missed the point once again... Doctor Porter, child specialist: "Our studies suggest that if a child is still asking questions endlessly after the age of 7 it is an insecurity issue."

That's your problem.

This was started by @DeviChaaya, maybe she can start this in Religious Debates?

No. This was a discussion started by her to simply have a discussion, not a debate. She was expecting non-antagonistic people responding in her thread.

I am a Vaishnava. Even I do not agree with the Shaivas and Shaktas. But I stay out of their discussion when I'm not invited.

Spiritualhitchhiker (philosoraptor?) -

Look it. The Hindu DIR is not about trolling for inane debate on Hinduism, Hindus are very diverse but one Family, the nature of the various religious DIRs is to highlight the positive and respect our differences but not be an antagonist and hurt devotees. You are trying to be clever and a bully, but you are not clever, just a mean spirited antagonist, and certainly you are not a seeker to Hinduism considering your antagonism. This has nothing to do with one thinking every story is 100 percent true, or all just myths, or being a polytheist or an atheist or any color of the vast Hindu family. This isn't about Vaishnavas discussing divergent views from Saivas and Shaktas and visaversa - that is interesting, but your game is not interesting but abusive.

It is about this antagonism and purposeful pointless ragging on Hinduism and Hindus which is really about your own insecurity.

Personally, I am a gun slinger, meaning I can be as mean as they come - but if you want to come to a "gun fight" the place is not the religious DIRs ... take the shoot out to the political debates if you want to play with the gun slingers anytime, though there are some real fast draws there from both the left and right and I doubt you would be "the last 'man' standing" at that O.K. Corral. Or go to the religious debates section. I like to mess it up, too, but the Hindu DIR, Islam DIR etc. is not the place. You really need to get lost.

Okay then. I'll ask the mods to move this. I'm guessing you'll just be talking to yourself there.

ShivaFan, this is not philosoraptor.

Parastish kiya tak ke ai but tujhe, nazar mein Sabki Khuda kar gaye. (Probably Mirza Ghalib)
(Worshiped, O Idol, by looking at you, made you God in everyone's eyes)

Khuda ke vaste parda na Ka'abe se utha zalim, kahin aisa na ho yan bhi vohi kafir sanam nikle.
(For God's sake, do not remove the covering from Ka'aba, O Cruel (Priest), lest it may happen that here also my lover comes out. (Definitely Mirza Ghalib)
to be continued .. :)

I don't know anything about Muslims and their stupid things. I don't know what Allah is and if that person did, maybe he was hallucinating.
OK, :) then tell me why Mira said "Main to prem diwani, mera dard na jane koy" (I am mad in love, nobody knows my pain (of separation from my lover)). You need to understand love to know this. Why did Chaitanya dance in ecstasy for his Kanha till he fainted?

If Kali is in everything, why aren't we worshiping everything?
I do see the universe as Kali. Those who follow Advaita Vedanta call It Brahman, to a Shakta we call Her Ma. Very little difference between the two philosophies. In fact it is Adi Sankara himself who installed the Sri Yantra in many of the important Shakti temples all over India.

I've been having a conversation about this with someone who sought my advice. It follows the story of the hermits and their wives; the hermits believe that they can attain moksha through empty acts alone and ignore their wives in favour of these acts. Clearly, according to bhakti traditions this is impossible and so Shiva goes to their ashram. Their poor wives, on seeing Lord Shiva, recognise Him for who He is. Yadda yadda yadda.

The question posed; is this not cheating upon Parvati by dallying in the minds of these women?

My response; of course not. How can Shiva 'cheat' upon Shakti? The two are inseparable as evidenced by the union of Aardhanariswara. As a Shakta I worship the Mother as supreme but I also worship Shiva. I do not believe Shiva can cheat upon Shakti because Shiva is Shakti just as Shakti is Shiva.

What are your thoughts?

Namaste,

I don't think this is "cheating", Shiva is in the minds of both men and women, and so is Mata Ji, i pray to Mata Ji and i would consider it grave Papam to even think of Mata in any other way. I guess that is the point, from what bhawna/perspective/intension are we viewing Mata Ji and Mahadewa Ji?

Also maybe the moral is don't ignore your wife?
