Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
You are mistaken. There are many many more as in Jesus time only two tribes of Israelites lived in Judea and the rest 10 tribes were in exile and lived as diaspora in other eastward countries. In Kerala, India also lived some of them. They got converted to Syriac Christianity by Thomas the Didymus but they were Israelites in origin. Right?
Regards
Let's examine the origin of the word Jew, or more properly, Yehudi.
You have to go back to the time when Israel was split into two kingdoms, north (YIsrael) and south (Yehudah). Yehudah had three tribes, Levi, Judah, and Benjamin. The northern kingdom also had Levi, plus all the other tribes.
When the Northern kingdom fell to the Assyrians, many Israelites fled south and made a new home in the Southern Kingdom. So NOW Yehuda has ALL the tribes, not just 3.
Then Yehuda goes into captivity in Babylon. There, all 12 tribes are called Yehudim, after the KINGDOM of Yehuda. Judah may have been the largest tribe, but there were certainly present all the others, and they were all called Yehudim, Jews.
Concerning those who were "Lost," there is an excellent video on YouTube that shows where each of the Northern tribes are today, with the exception of Asher.
