I would be more concerned about putting hormones into such young bodies. They need time for the hormones to do their thing and get sorted out.
Copper IUD for the win.
But it's a traumatic enough experience for an adult who knows exactly what is going on and has support all around them, let alone a young teenager whose mum doesn't even know. That's pretty dangerous, imho.
