Can you acknowledge that you were wrong and Islam was right on cousin marriages?

It was the Hebrew custom for the daughters of sonless fathers to marry their cousins in order to bear male descendants to carry on their father's name.

We see this in the daughter of the sonless Absalom, who married Rehoboam the son of her uncle Solomon, and bore three sons and a daughter for her father Absalom. Also Eleazar the first son of Mahli the grand-son of Levi, Eleazar died without siring any sons, his daughters married their cousins who were descendants of Kish the brother of their father. Zelophehad's daughters married their cousins, etc, etc.

The folks in the Bible Belt didn't think this was just intended for Jews of 3000 years ago. They are still OK with the concepts. After all, It's In The Good Book.
