The Surprising Truth About Cousins and Marriage
Any abnormalities in children from first cousin marriages is as likely to occur as any abnormalities in children who are born to a 40-year-old mother (compared to a 30-year-old.
What if I find that I can't even remotely give a single, rabbit-sized crap what "Islam" does or doesn't say about anything? What then?(the 'you' on the title is in plural)

With parental consent, most states allow marriages at 16. Massachusettes allows it at 12.now it's been bumped so the minimum age is 18, except under certain circumstances, and can be as high as 21
nly places like Hollywood have a taboo (liberals like to pass themselves off as very free, but the reject what is perfectly fine, like marriage 16 or older
Can you acknowledge that you were wrong and Islam was right on cousin marriages?
A marriage performed in any state is recognized in all states. What do American states that ban cousin marriages do when married couples from states where it is legal move there?
Or people from other countries do so..?
The other alternative, is for cousins who go to other states to marry, what happens if they return?
Are not these bans encroaching on to peoples freedom a step to far?

This is common knowledge. Women are generally aware that having kids in their 20s is optimal. It doesn't make Islam anymore right here about anything. It means cousins should stop marrying each other.
I wonder if you are here to do anything other than tell us how Islam is right about X Y and Z.
I think that every religion is probably right about at least a few things, however minor or easy to misconstrue, and wrong about others. No, I'm here to ask if you can acknowledge Islam was right about cousin marriage —

I mean nowadays, women know that having kids in their mid 30s can lead to problems. No you are wrong by saying common knowledge. I understand the question is an apologetic for Islam, but this kind of dismissal is beyond your standard.
The question obviously is referring to the time it was written. If you think its common knowledge you are absolutely wrong. Marriage amongst cousins happen even now. Lets say in Asian countries like India and the whole region, this is common practice.
Can you cite some worldwide study that shows 1400 years ago this is common knowledge?
(I am not saying anything miraculous whatsoever. I am only questioning your reasoning)

In my religion (paganism) first cousins don't get married to eachother.
That's because the Romans and Egyptians viewed rulers as Deities. Bluebloods.Pagans in many countries have no such restriction.
Roman and Egyptian pagans rulers could even marry siblings.
