Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

Even when it comes to the American cartoons that I do like, they're often called "American Anime."

Truth, may i ask what you watch. . .

I watch(ed) the following:

  • Boku no hero academia
  • Kabeneri of the Iron Fortress
  • Fullmetal Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
  • Tokyo Ghoul
  • Dragon ball z
  • Yu Yu Hakusho
  • Monster
  • Code Geass Lelouch Rebellion
  • Rebellion 2
  • JoJo Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders
  • Both seasons
  • JoJo Bizarre Adventure Diamond is Unbreakable
  • Sakamoto Desu ga
  • Hellsing Ultimate
  • Naruto Shippuden
  • Re; Zero Kara. . .
  • Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi
  • Hajime no Ippo
  • Hunter x Hunter
  • One Punch Man
  • MUCH MORE
  • El Fin.

I am not a big fan of either genre, but out of the two I definitely prefer cartoons. I think anime is pretty crappy and yes, I've seen enough of it to get the general idea.

What I do prefer is something like Scrat from Ice Age. I think the character is inspired genius.

and yes, I have managed to incorporate some of his mannerisms and sounds into my everyday comic routine. :)

Nice. I'm not much of an anime man myself, I only really watched the Buu Saga of DBZ when I was a kid. Have you seen any of Team Four Star's stuff? They re-dub Dragon Ball Z episodes with new lines. I think it's pretty funny. They've got a channel on Youtube.

Well, in the past, I've seen:

Yu Yu Hakusho
Inu Yasha
Yu-Gi-Ou (Season Zero)
...does Sonic X count?

I've also seen, but rather disliked:

Metropolis
Ninja Scroll
Akira
Vampire Hunter D

Yes, I know those are classics in American Otaku culture, but sorry, I didn't like them.

When it comes to what I like, I actually tend not to watch a lot of different shows, but rewatch the same few shows I love over and over.

Death Note
Sword Art Online
Dragonball/DBZ
Rurouni Kenshin
Pokemon

And my absolute FAVORITE anime franchise of all bloody time I don't care what ANYONE says,

Sailor Moon.:crescentmoon:

(Didn't include the aforementioned "American Anime", just to avoid that confusion.)

I like all types of animation. Asking me to choose is like asking me do I prefer savoury or sweet. It will greatly depend on my mood.
Sometimes I'm in the mood for exquisite tradigital animation with an odd but endearing story like the anime Wolf Children. Maybe I want some goofy epic fun like Trigun. Or perhaps a cute little Studio Ghibli film. Sometimes I want epic 3D CGI with strong writing like Pixar or Dreamworks (when it decides to actually achieve it's potential.)
Sometimes I want a sweet and cozy traditional hand drawn animation. Like Disney or cute foreign films like Earnest and Celestine. Maybe I'll look for claymation like Ray Harryhousen or Aardman or Will Vinton's work.
There are so many wonderful innovative flavours of animation with fresh blood taking each to new and exciting places why on earth be limited to just one?

No question.......cartoons!

Anime.....isn't that just a poorly drawn cartoon melodrama wherein the androgynous characters all have big eyes & hair?

Wow, really?

Do not judge a book by its cover, anyhow have you seen any Anime?

It is absolutely way better than Cartoons, i learn about Anime even religion based at times and foundation of life.

It gives me an experience of spiritualized and epinephrine authoritative especially when encountering the resplendent scenes.

In other words, i get really hype off of it and it makes me strive hard and teaches me a lot depending on the Anime.
