Christianity Does Not Equal Religion!

Im getting sick of this! People are blaming god for the flood! What God? Can we please label the God. People are disgusted with religion, and give quotes from the bible, the bible is the source of world religion!

All i am saying, is that think before you post, because if you do not like something about that religion, then let us know it is just that religion. It does get on my nerves.

What if someone has a problem with specifically your religion?

I know for a fact that I hate storm's.
You know, due to dueteronomy 12:6

Yeah. It does get on my nerves when people make vague overtures towards hating religion, but don't specify which religion they hate. People can be so inconsiderate.

What i meant is, that when people makes posts (normallys atheists) they will say God, and they talk about bad things that an Abrahamic God has done, and sort of expect a whole religious audience to answer, not just that group of people.

When I speak of God and religion, I lump them all together. I may speak specifically at Christianity more often because it is the most dominant religion here in America. But I dislike all religions equally...

You should specific, you may say, the flood was bad and God should write us an an apology letter, but to a Hindu, or a Jain, this is gibberish. Its unfair that other religions should get screwed over fot the fault of others.

Well at least I have an open mind to other religions. Since becoming part of this forum I can honestly say that I can find something good about everyone's religion. If you look for the positive you can always find something good to say. :D Chrisitanity to me is not just a "religion" but a way of life.

I believe that I have. I have just come to the conclusion that they are all man-made books with all of them sharing one common similarity; that they are all founded on mere superstition and opinions. If there is God, there is no need for the organization of the idea. Especially if it cannot be experienced or proven today. It is static thought of the ancients. Sure, the book may have great moral teachings and may make you feel bubbly inside, but that does not make it truth.

War and death aside for now, religon brings peace of mind, an drive a person to do good things, in general does good, isn't this important?

It very well may bring peace of mind for some, but it caused me to begin to fall into a depression-like state. If it drives people to do good for society, then that is great. However, religion is unnecessary for this kind of action. I believe that it has been a net negative for society as a whole.
