I see the very opposite. I see so many differences, i find it virtually impossible.I've seen so many similarities in the majority of religions, faiths, beliefs, that I have come to the conclusion that there is a chance they may have started from the same source. I am certainly not backed up with any proof or anything, but that is a possibility.
That would mean that they would have the same God.

Too true... I am am out frubals... AGAIN! What is the code for the facepalm? I love it!Don, I find the whole thing very easy to deal with. When some random douchewaffle goes off on how they can prove there is no such thing as a god by going straight to debunking the bible and whatnot...I ignore them. I usually just automatically assume that such a thread, at the first mention of "God" is speaking of the Abrahamic god or I assume it is an atheist who became an atheist after being a Christian and that is all they know and think it applies to everyone. Luckily, I don't really even claim the word "God" (spoken as a name). I'll use "god" (uncapitalized to refer to one of many different deities). Since I don't even associate any of my beliefs with "God" then their insensitive or uninformed ramblings don't even affect me. Unless someone specifically calls out my religion or exact concept of Divine/deity then they aren't talking about my religion.
This may sound like I'm making huge assumptions here, but I tend to find that the majority of atheists that get their knickers in a knot about how wrong religion is usually come from a strict Christian background and once they decided that it's not what they believed they, usually without truly even looking at various other religions, suddenly declare all religion to be a mass delusion. They tend to be snide and lump everyone into the same boat and think themselves more intelligent than anyone who has any religious belief because they aren't "delusional". We do have a few of those on this site, though I will not name names. We have about as many of those as we do evangelical bible thumpers who like to tell everyone else how to believe as well.
You just have to learn who to do this to and this
It's me and you. It is what we REALLY are. It simply occupies what we think is us, the body. It is eternal, it can be destroyed or created. How would you describe the soul/atman?
