Like most other Christians, I believe the 'rapture' idea is a lot of fantastic nonsense dreamt up by people who don't know how to interpret mythical, symbolic, and coded religious texts, and who want to presume that they are more righteous and special in the eyes of God than everyone else.
No it isn't.Futurism is Jesuit in origins.. later promoted by Darby, Scofield and Hal Lindsey .. Its bunk.
No it isn't.
If an ex-Christian may be allowed a comment, I'd never even heard of the Rapture untill I met the idea in places like this — the idea is not mentioned in any Anglican, Catholic, or Orthodox books I've read.
PS The OP's reference to "tribbers" and "rapture" made me realise that we've watched rather different sorts of videos…

Why is it "jesuit" in origin?
I was raised Catholic, and the same is true for me. That's why I included the, "like most other Christians..." in my comment. These ideas are an aberration, and not the norm.If an ex-Christian may be allowed a comment, I'd never even heard of the Rapture untill I met the idea in places like this — the idea is not mentioned in any Anglican, Catholic, or Orthodox books I've read.

Because it was invented by Francisco Ribera (1537–1591) a Spanish Jesuit theologian who wrote the Futurist Christian eschatological view.
Later it was picked up by Darby, Scofield, Dallas Theological Seminary and Hal Lindsey.
I see. Thanks.
Most Catholics I've met reject Riberas ideas on the subject. Typically we believe that a lot of these prophetic events already tool place during the time when the Jewish Zealots began killing moderate Jews.
After more research, I have decided that futuristic post tribulationism is what makes ense to me. I want to present the four main pre millenial views for your research: Pre tribbers believe in an imminent rapture that happens before the seventieth weed of Daniel, midtribbers believe that the rapture happens at the abomination of desolation, prewrathers (I used to be prewrath) believe that the rapture happens after the opening of the sixth seal mentioned in the book of Revelation, and posttribbers like me believe that the rapture happens at the same time as the second coming of Jesus Christ (you can call Him Yeshua if you want). There is also a wide selection of other eschatological views, but I wanted to present the pre millennial prophetic views for your research and civil discource. I want to link you to Mark 13, which I believe to be the most important chapter on eschatology, found right here: Mark 13:1 (KJV) Remember that eschatology is not a salvation issue, and I am humbly asking that everyone (including me) please keep it divil. I love you all, and look forward to our discussion.

What aot of people and Christians are not taught in their churches. Which they are being deceived and don't even know it.
In the book of Revelation, Christ Jesus gave the last Prophecy that is to happen.
That before Christ Jesus can return to rapture anyone, The last prophecy has to happen first
That when this last prophecy happens, the Tribulation is over. And then Christ Jesus returns. And not until the last Prophecy happens first.
So what good is the Rapture going to do, that by the time the Rapture is to happen the tribulation is over anyway.
And then Christ Jesus returns.
So in the book of Revelation Christ Jesus given the last Prophecy that is to happen, that Christ Jesus can not return until the last Prophecy happens first.
When the last Prophecy happens, brings the end to the tribulation and the return of Christ Jesus.
So again, what good is the Rapture going to do.seeing when the last Prophecy happens Tribulation is over. And then Christ Jesus returns.
I find it amazing how many people and Christians are being deceived into thinking
That the 6th seal, 6th Trump and 6th vial of Revelation pertains to Christ Jesus.
Stop and think about it,
The 6th seal, 6th Trump, 6th vial
Now if you add those numbers up,
You'll have 666. Which is the number of the beast in Revelation 13:17-18.
17--"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18--"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six"
666= The mark of the beast ( Satan)
Now in Revelation you'll find the
7th seal, 7th Trump, 7th vial
Which is 777 the number of Christ Jesus.
777 being his number of perfection.
And at the sounding of the 7th Trump is when Christ Jesus returns.
The 6th Trump is Satan being cast out of heaven to the earth.
PureX and sooda are exactly correct in their replies. There is no such thing as a secret rapture. Nowhere is this taught in Scripture. Christians believing this garbage are entertaining a false hope and are in for a rude awakening.
The tribulation was over in 70 AD.. Jesus told his followers to avoid it and flee to Pella which they did.
Caesar is the beast 666.
That is way ridiculous.
That just shows how much you haven't a clue or idea about the Tribulation or the book of Revelation.
But if that's what you want to believe go for it have a good trip in the process.
