"Cis-Gender" - Is the term nothing more than an obnoxious SJW battle-cry?

I'm all for equality - I don't hate any specific groups for any particular reason. I state this because this post is essentially a 3-tiered question regarding the issue therefore accusations of prejudice will only convolute the thread.

Anywhooooo:

(1) Why is the term "cis" required, relevant or even appropriate at all?

(2) Biology has confirmed (as scientific fact) that there are only 2 biological sexes with extremely rare biological abnormalities being the exception - however, do these rare biological exceptions require/deserve a bastardization of language worldwide in order to accommodate the loose and mostly unfounded science that is "gender studies"?

(3) Are SJWs nothing more than people who hate themselves so much that they feel the need to engage in stupid debates and support bastardized language which enables them to smear people at the whims of their own flaky opinions?

Huh ??? SJW? Oh, Social Justice Warrior. I don't know who I would say one is.

As far as I know cis just means something like "normal"?

Actually, study your biology a bit more. You will find that there are lots of folk who are not XX or XY. I'm guessing thousands of combinations? Most of them, you won't know unless they tell you. No, science has not identified a particular combination that makes you gay or lesbian. If you are Christian, all you need to know is not to judge.

Cooler than most of you
It's as offensive as transgender being that cis- is the opposite prefix in Latin to trans- it's a perfectly fine term when the distinction is relevant. English is fluid like that.

I don't see why trans people aren't normal. Trans people have existed for a long time, all over the world. I don't see what's abnormal about them.

They think they identify with a biological sex that they obviously don't belong to.

That is extremely abnormal.

It's also probably a mental disorder too boot - all things considered.

Not Christian.

I already acknowledged the existence of different biological constructs but they are extremely rare.

And yes - I've seen nothing that even remotely comes close to overturning the idea 'that cis just means something like "normal"'.

If you think sex = genitals than you really have no idea the complexities of sex.

Doctors Are Performing Genital Surgery on Intersex Kids — and It's NOT Ok
Is intersex the same as "ambiguous genitalia"? | Intersex Society of North America

This is a good documentary about the experiences of Intersex people.

In the first few minutes, an intersex person shares their parent's experience of being told by the medical professionals that they did not know what their newborn's sex was, and that they would have to wait and see how they develop.

Agreed.

There are "lots" of examples of "rare" abnormalities.

The idea that a prefix is appropriate, let alone required, to accommodate the feelings of rare abnormal biological abominations is ridiculous at best.

Ridiculous at best.

"Abominations"? What the hell is wrong with you? These are people whose chromosomes happen to be different from the norm, not subhumans.

As for the prefix, it's primarily to say "not-trans," not "not-intersex." I see no reason a prefix for that would be inappropriate.

It's obviously a very fluid language to you.

To everyone, sharp tack. It's a ******* language from inception and has never ceased to be so. Do you think they publish new dictionarys every year to keep up with loss and damage of previous copies?

I suggest you stop headbutting the inside of your digestive tract and pay attention to reality for a few minutes. The times... They are a'changin'. Catch up.

The mental health profession disagrees.

The mental health profession is a joke and it always has been.

They don't identify with a sex they don't belong to. They identify with a gender they do not belong to and may alter their sex characteristics if they do not like the ones they are born with.

Transitioning procedures are quite safe and have a positive affect on the trans people's health in the vast vast majority of cases. Whereas people who identify as trans who do not or cannot transition have incredibly high suicide rates and experience dysphoria on a regular basis.

Yep.
I don't think you're internet degree lets you declare anything to be "probably" a mental disorder.

No! You're an internet degree!

Seriously though: someone who genuinely believes that they are a dead person when they are alive (when being a live is clearly a prerequisite for believing something about oneself) is indeed a mental illness; I don't need a hack degree to understand that.

How about complying with the rest of the way the 99.99% of the world communicates, operates and gets things done?

Why is it such a mystery why these people are killing themselves over and over like it's part of their destiny? You know - unlike 99.99% of the world.'

It must be the 99.99% of the world's fault. LOL.

Yeah, right...

Is that a comic book you've got in your signature?

And you're old enough to grow a beard?

Wow...

I guess I have a lot to learn from someone as wise as you.
