"Cis-Gender" - Is the term nothing more than an obnoxious SJW battle-cry?

How about complying with the rest of the way the 99.99% of the world communicates, operates and gets things done?

Why is it such a mystery why these people are killing themselves over and over like it's part of their destiny? You know - unlike 99.99% of the world.'

It must be the 99.99% of the world's fault. LOL.
Because that's not how their brains are wired. Would you tell a person unable to walk due to a genetic condition to "just get over it" and act like 99.9% of the world? No. We build wheelchair access rails for them, because we want to afford everyone the opportunity to live decently.

Also, behavior like yours is what causes transpeople's high suicide rates. Those rates are lower in areas where they're more accepted.

Agreed.

Also agreed.

How exactly is a social construct, like a person deciding that they are not the sex they obviously are, in any way, even remotely comparable to someone who is physically disabled?

Duh.

Yeah, right...

Was that meant to be an argument? It sounds more like you wish you had one. Want to try again?

Is that a comic book you've got in your signature?

No, just a panel from one. That'd be a real short book don't you think? It's from Infinity Gauntlet and it's nearly as old as me.

And you're old enough to grow a beard?

Old enough to grow one and cool enough to make it epic. Are you jealous? I highly encourage beard envy of my envious beard.

Wow...

I guess I have a lot to learn from someone as wise as you.

We can take it slowly, don't worry. As a bonus, I don't know you well enough to detail your involuntary psychological processes, so at least you'll be spared of that. You're welcome.

I'd advise you to take a look at the Scientific American article. They didn't just randomly decide this as you seem to be assuming, it's frequently how they've felt for their whole life, and the study the magazine cited provides answers for why that probably is. Their brains match the average for the opposite sex better than their own, hence the separation between sex (chromosomes) and gender (identification).

Picture being hyper-feminine and a biological male, or hyper-masculine and a biological female, and this is proven to be related to basic brain chemistry. Why is that different from any other genetic abnormality that has a strong impact on someone's life, that we afford consideration and respect to?

Okay, so you admit this kind of behavior causes needless deaths, yet you're engaging in it anyway?

So, beside the freaky sexual niches available to transsexuals and the overwhelming abundance of Steven Hawking characters in the world, what real value do these people hold for the rest of civilization?

It seems like Cruz is just here to insult people, he's a troglodytical schoolyard thug and not worth our time.

They think they identify with a biological sex that they obviously don't belong to.

That is extremely abnormal.

It's also probably a mental disorder too boot - all things considered.

The American Psychological Association considers gender dysphoria a medical condition that can be treated with gender reassignment surgery.

Meanwhile, Mr. CruzNichaphor, a random expert on the Internet, believes it is "probably a mental disorder too [sic] boot." I'm rather conflicted about which claim to take seriously, given the latter's astonishing online, self-given credentials.

Hard choice.

No it's not.

The American Psychological Association is a running joke for anyone blessed with the triad of looks, brains and professional success.

Everyone else seeks psychological therapy.

So, again no argument? It's really starting to seem like you don't have one. By the way, plenty of cisgender females love my epic beard nearly as much as I do. And I (being a cisgender male myself) regularly indulge their attraction to the same.

Girl: Ooh, nice beard!
Me: Thanks! I wish I could braid it, though. I always get it crooked when I try it myself.
Girl: I could braid it for you!
Me: Is that so...

And then we spend ten minutes or so with our faces inches apart. I really don't need more than that.

As a point of fact, I've been approached by more than one gay man and one transgender woman along the same lines, but being that I'm not attracted to those folks (but still susceptible to flattery from any direction) they only got the thanks.

I can't imagine you wanted to read any of that.

I agree. For those of us who are not onboard with a lot of the "Gender Studies" angle to physical reality, I recognize that dialogues like this do not help to expand awareness. The difficulty is that doubting the ideals is all too often met with a shrill coldness which creates more isolation and polarization. Oh for a chance to have an intelligent discussion about the topic without having the fear of being shouted down at the drop of a hat.

Jordon Peterson comes to mind, though it has really just catapulted him into stardom. If you want to find out personally, go to a local campus and start a little rally. In no time flat you will understand, clearly, what I mean.

Well, at least now you've made it obvious your arguments are based on ideological histrionics rather than medicine or scientific consensus. I don't have much more to say in that case.
