"Cis-Gender" - Is the term nothing more than an obnoxious SJW battle-cry?

Well, at least now you've made it obvious your arguments are based on ideological histrionics rather than medicine or scientific consensus. I don't have much more to say in that case.

I would say that the converse to what I'm articulating in this thread is nothing more than the battle cry of the ideologically possessed - a battle cry that was actually explicitly stated in the title of this thread.

My arguments are not based on ideological histrionics rather they are produced by a wealth of knowledge and experience. Thanks for the pep talk though.

Welcome to the real, world.

(1) Why is the term "cis" required, relevant or even appropriate at all?

To distinguish cisgenders from transgenders, of course.

(2) Biology has confirmed (as scientific fact) that there are only 2 biological sexes with extremely rare biological abnormalities being the exception - however, do these rare biological exceptions require/deserve a bastardization of language worldwide in order to accommodate the loose and mostly unfounded science that is "gender studies"?

I will have to hear your tale, for I do not know. Such events have not happened in this world.

(3) Are SJWs nothing more than people who hate themselves so much that they feel the need to engage in stupid debates and support bastardized language which enables them to smear people at the whims of their own flaky opinions?

I don't know. I am not sure SJW exist as such. I only hear suspect tales about them.

Just Doom at the moment. No need for formalities outside the office.

Do you mean that in the old English? I know how much you hate new terminology. I'm going to guess you mean the original usage and wonder what being on your menstrual cycle has to do with anything.

Menstrual cycles?

Old English?

Doom?

I bet you're a total scream at parties.

Menstrual cycles?

Old English?

Oh you didn't know that a woman's period was once considered a mental disorder called hysteria? Yeah, that's where that word comes from. Again, recquisitioned from Latin. Happens a lot in English. Borrowed terminology. You might look into that.

It's my screen name, Captain Attention Span. I feel like Foghorn Leghorn talking to the chicken hawk. "That's a joke, son. Ya missed it."

I bet you're a total scream at parties.

Safe bet. Are you fishing for an invite?

Okay - what do these "common deviations" look like, and, more specifically:

(1) what do these "common deviations'" genitals look like?

(2) why are these "common deviations" unable to procreate if they are biologically sound?
Educate yourself in biology. A simple google search would get you started.

I agree. For those of us who are not onboard with a lot of the "Gender Studies" angle to physical reality, I recognize that dialogues like this do not help to expand awareness. The difficulty is that doubting the ideals is all too often met with a shrill coldness which creates more isolation and polarization. Oh for a chance to have an intelligent discussion about the topic without having the fear of being shouted down at the drop of a hat.

The problem is, as this thread illustrates, you can't have an intelligent discussion without civility. Clearly the OP cannot present their point of view without being disparaging and derogatory.

Cis-gender is just a way for people who LARP genders to insult you if all you believe in is biology. I refuse to use that term or even acknowledge anyone beyond what their biological sex is. Of course, the purpose isn't to insult them but that I recognize reality. My beliefs are more important than theirs, at least in respect to my own head space. :D

If they want to be "something else" I'm perfectly fine with that, it doesn't offend me, but I don't participate. I don't seek them to be harmed or disadvantaged in any way. This is really not much different that say expecting someone of a different religion to adhere to your religions morality or other standards. It's simply foolish...
