Climate vulnerable in the Global South demand COP26 action

You would be right to demand that there are conditions attached to ensure funds do not disappear into the pockets of corrupt regimes. Where feasible it might be better to transfer wealth in the form of energy, flood mitigation and other projects, rather than just $$$$, so as to keep tabs on where it goes.
Good idea! I don't know if this is being done now or not, but if it isn't this needs to be changed.

I mean, this is basically how development aid works already (with the sad caveat that most of it tends to be earmarked to support companies from aid-giving nations, rather than trying to find long term sustainable solutions on the ground).

Greta Thunberg is a hero of mine, but one thing she doesn't understand is how there may be some world leaders who want to help more, but are restrained by the realities of their political situation. It doesn't help to mock them so much in this speech.

Still, voices like Greta Thunberg need to be heard in this world. She's done so much to bring the attention of the world to climate change. Like me, she's on the autism spectrum, identifying her herself as having Asperger's, calling it her "superpower".
I still think she was coached by adults.

That generation of kids is going to grow up very, very angry at what we've done with their world, and justifiably so.
They'll be the ones who'll have to deal directly with the mess we've created.

Are their kids will have to deal with the mess they create.

Not conspiracy, suspicion.

She apparently cannot answer fairly straightforward questions without a script. An adult had to take over.

She's probably an agent of the Muslim Mexican Communists who want to Destroy The West with Immigration.

Well givin the evidences, it proves its not a conspiracy that you allude it is.

Climate change is complicated, and she is clueless without adult coaching and intervention.

I feel sorry for the girl. This stuff is way over her head and she's clearly out of her element on her own. I don't think she even understands what she is saying from scripts she is givin.

Well, I think there was a script, but it was written by her I believe. She is an adult, and intelligent. This is a short excerpt, obviously meant to make her look as bad as possible. You can't trust what's on the internet.

Couldn't tell from the vid. Seems pretty clueless to me without support from the adults around her.

I don't think she actually is that intelligent on the subject.

Maybe when she gets older.

It's intelligent to pass the question to someone else who can better answer the question. I will point out that only one question is spotlighted here, so that seems suspicious to me.

She is obviously a very confused little girl clearly out of her element, whom cannot possibly understand whatsoever the straightforward question being asked of which was clearly something well over her head.

That's why her microphone was quickly taken away by an adult and givin to another adult to answer the same question instead.

This change is alarming.
Well, that’s the point. It isn’t. Alarmist believe it is, though. They, and you are wrong.

When don’t have a genuine valid argument hustlers fall back to fear mongering. Climate change alarmists are fear mongers. Adults know that climate change is a problem, not a crisis. Reason and real science is the key to climate change issues, not politics and fear pandering.

LOL

Do you believe all change is alarming?

Wouldn't have thought so. I implement large-scale system and business change for a living.
At least, I did. Mostly I just manage those who do so now.

In any case, change is pretty much my bread and butter.

To repeat my question, though, do you think the climate is changing?

It might be justifiable anger, but that's kinda the easy part.
Anyone can stamp their feet and point to the sins of previous generations. I have my own issues with baby boomers...ahem...

Implementing sustainable and coherent change is much, much, much harder than anger.
