We should note that Pastafarians have no strict prescription for headgear.
There are other ways to express ones noodliness...

Oh, getting upset over silliness is a whole other level of silliness.
That would be meta-silly indeed!

The colander has advantages:
- Inexpensive
- Widely available, eg, Target, Ace Hardware
- The latest rage among select fashionistas
- Rainproof
- Ventilated
- Multiple colors & materials
- Rugged
- Multi-cultural
- It even has uses in the kitchen.

Another Pastafarian hat....

There has been a growing trend among certain atheists to fight for the right to wear colanders on their heads when having their photo taken for government issued IDs. It is meant to be a political statement against the allowance of religious head gear. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Is it a legitimate statement? Should religious believers not be allowed to have any religious headgear, what so ever, in government issued IDs? Or is it a childish act that does more to harm the already very poor view that people have of atheists?

If you want your ID to identify your religious Beliefs with head wear go for it. As long as I can see your face. As to the Atheists if they like to be identified as colander wearing people in official ID's, that's fine. They're making a statement that atheists like to wear colanders on the head. Not to many people are going to find that intelligent.

I find it ironic that you'd criticize someone else's intelligence in a post where you yourself made at least five glaring grammatical errors.

I usually let spelling and grammar mistakes slide, but I'll make exceptions for cases of hypocrisy.

Minus the glaring grammatical errors do you believe most people will think wearing a colander on your head for an official ID intelligent.

Two, actually, and that was a deliberate stylistic choice.

^^Three, as emphasized in red above.^^

The ol' "Yeeaahhh... I meant to do that" parry.
