Yes. The distinctions weren't so broad in Jesus' day. Jesus was a Jew. Jesus never intended to "found a new religion." What did Jesus want, and is that closer to modern Judaism, or modern Xy? Or something else, entirely?Despite whatever *ahem* moniker or label of specific adherence any particular faith demands or requires to be a faithful "member", I still best understand the distinctions of Judaism and Christians to be straightforward. You either accept "Jesus the Christ" as lone savior and manifestation of the "God" of mankind, or...you do not.
Is there something else I am missing here?
