Condemns ISIS for war and hate but okay with Catholic church's past atrocities for centuries?

Once AGAIN, stop putting words in my mouth. We are discussing the Catholic Church. My point is that I find it irrational that Christians would affiliate themselves with the Catholic Church when it has a long history of immoral and criminal behavior that any Christian should be ashamed of.

Since you have reading comprehension issues let's quickly review a few points:
- You can be Christian without being affiliated with the Catholic Church.
- I do not condone violence except in cases where it is necessary for self-defense.
- People where I live (USA) are free to practice whatever religion they like, I am also free to mock and criticize religion and religious people in the USA due to freedom of speech.
And I believe that there a more good Catholics than the murderous one's you are referring to. I see what the human race does. It isn't just Catholics. Its white guys, black guys, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, women, men, children. The human race has a much longer history of immoral and criminal behavior that every human being should be ashamed of. Why do you affiliate yourself with other members of the human race? We all suck. I wouldn't give a thumbs up to one person...not one, especially liberals and democrats. All evil in my opinion..evil to the core. And I am free to mock and criticize others as well. Furthermore, I am free to put words in anyone's mouth I choose to put them in.

1. You can be a Catholic without affiliating yourself with the Crusades.
2. Catholics do not condone violence. In fact, any good Catholic will tell you not to harm anyone, that we ought to do unto others as we would have them do unto us.
3. And I am free to mock and criticize others as well. Furthermore, I am free to put words in anyone's mouth I choose to put them in. And to top it off, if I have to, I will stuff them in.

Catholics can not help what they believe. They are no less gullible than any other religious person.
Wrong. Let me one up you on that:
Catholics can not help what they believe. They are no less gullible than any other person on the entire planet, including you and me.

btw, please note the bigotry in your comment to me.

Once again you refuse to address the point I actually presented and angrily attack a strawman argument of your own construction. You are obviously not interested in honestly engaging others in debate. Have fun talking to yourself.

Actually I saw the point you failed to make. But I almost missed it because it was buried in bigotry.

I think we gotta be careful when assigning blame, especially for a couple of reasons, with one being that the present is not the same as the past, plus that as long as there are humans leading religious organizations, or any other organizations for all that matter, there's going to be mistakes made whether they be intentional or unintentional.

For example, during the peak of the pedophile situation several years ago within the RCC, I ran across a study that showed that both pedophilia and adultery was pretty close when comparing Catholic churches with Protestant ones (I don't recall if Orthodox was involved in that study). However, that being said, the cover-ups were just about as bad as the crime.

Also, in regard to the past v the present, we no longer see inquisitions and crusades, and most armed conflicts that we see typically are more secular in nature with religion being a side-bar. The vast majority of religions and denominations have a troubled past somewhere, such as the long struggles centuries ago in Europe between Catholics and Protestants and also between Protestants and Protestants.

I'm neither Catholic nor Christian, but I do attend the local RC parish with my wife, and the church is similar in many respects to almost any other religious organization.
