If you fear Trump winning, do you have a contingency plan in case he does win or just relying on hope that he doesn't win.

Silver's vague advice was to wealthy people who donate to causes, not us hoi polloi.

Sure, try to keep my wife, a life long... well only since she immigrated to the United States, republican from bragging around my son, a staunch Bernie Sanders supporter.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Follow thru is as likely as Trump's 2020 promise
to not run again if he loses. Do you think he'll
keep his promise to move to Venezuela if he
loses this year?
Probably the same as Religious Forum members who, if memory serves me, who had voiced their desire to move to Canada and other foreign domiciles once Trump was elected.

You won't see me moving to Canuckistan.
Will you move to Venezuela to be with Trump?

I was talking to one of my neighbors yesterday. They are a gay couple and both guys have German heritage that allows them to get a passport. They have both filed for German passports just in case Trump wins, and there is hostility towards gays that make life in the USA unbearable. Gays really are not sure what Trump will do and feel a great deal of anxiety.

It's not only US citizens who should have a contingency plan. If Trump is able to get his planned tariffs through Congress, everyone who is dealing with the US has to face sales problems, which might lead to lay-offs. Then administrations will probably react with tariffs on their own, which will lead to higher prices for US products.
For most people, these are problems, but for entrepreneurs it is also an opportunity to get into markets currently dominated by the US.

Disaster capitalists and hedge fund managers will be rubbing their hands, no doubt. But he won't win; his every public statement seems designed to titillate his base, while alienating all reasonable people.
