Contradictions in the Bible

Seriously who do you think is being a bully here?

I see some hard to decipher posts. The topic of the OP is contradictions in he Bible. Christians should be relieved that the countless errors in the Bible do not refute the Christian God, they only refute obviously wrong concepts of that God.

You cannot even understand which you have taken...who said bullies are here?..It was a question..that needed to be answered, do you not know we live with it? Where did you get the thought I referred to be in RF?..your measuring is unfitting!..

Of course it is. Perfection doesn't contain blatant errors of contradiction such as:

2 Kings 8:25-27
25 In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.
26 Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.


2 Chronicles 22
22 And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned. 2 Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.

Two and twenty (22) is not the same as Forty and two (42). To contend it is violates the law of contradiction. And violating the law of law of contradiction is a logical error.

The proper action to take is to start your own thread on the topic. And it is a valid topic. One should not distract others with a subject that has nothing to do with the OP.

It is an interpretation that you are making up. It contradicts scripture. Something you have not addressed.

Concerning God, there is Truth and the lie. The lie exists already. God brings the Truth. To those who reject that Truth, then He gives them the lie.

God uses satan the same. satan does what he does because of his desire to be as God. His motive is always against God. Yet, God uses him also. satan desired to kill the Son of God, yet played into God's hand.

God will send the lie. That doesn't make God the liar. The liar are those who rejected the Truth.

Sending a lie makes one a liar. You can keep repeating what you are saying, but that will not make it become true. You are calling God a liar.

Apparent contradictions do exist because the revelation is from God. Had the Bible been written to the perfect logic and understanding of man, it wouldn't have been from God. It would have been from man.

Shows that man would never write such a book.

The Bible was written by men. People do not have perfect logic or understanding. Consider the logic and understanding you are using as an example.

You can call God a liar if you like, but I do not think we have anything else to discuss here.

When God gives the light, and that light is rejected, greater darkness results.

I am impressed.

Glad to have impressed you. As I have said before, there are apparent contradictions in the Bible. Many of which I have no answer for. The 'simple answer' for you is that the Bible is inaccurate. But not for me.

Just because I may not have an answer means nothing. Just means I don't know. You present a discrepancy with numbers in the Bible not adding up with your math. But, God is not just giving numbers to give a perfect list numerically. When there is an apparent contradiction I see it as there is something there to learn from God.

Is that faith? Certainly. So, you and I are both satisfied. You have a contradiction, which means the Bible is inaccurate and cannot be the Word of God. I have a contradiction and will wait till I can find an answer from God.

It is based on Scripture. (Job 1:6-12)

And you can keep repeating what you are saying. Doesn't make it true.
