It Aint Necessarily So

The only way is that Medical Associations (of physicians and nurses) rebel, and unite to found some centers where they provide with basic medical assistance for free (or with affordable prices). That is, it's them that they have to push the local governments to abolish privatized healthcare. It's them who have the power. Did they study medicine because they adore money or because they love healing the sick?

I chose medicine for a number of reasons, and good pay was one of them. Making a difference was another. Working in the sciences was another. Working with people rather than in an office cubicle was another. Being self-employed was another. Having a medical education was another (still useful apart from a career in medicine) was another. And instant social status was another.

But do you know what WASN'T a reason? To become a political activist. That's not me.

How expensive. Here in france the government pays between 15% and 85% of medical bills, the balance is paid by private insurance which for us is around €2500 per year.
In BC the government pays 100% medical. Work or Pension insurance pays prescriptions.
