Could Consciousness Be the Universe's Self Awareness?

Robert.Evans

You will be assimilated; it is His Will.
"Some part of our being knows this is where we came from. We long to return. And we can. Because the cosmos is also within us. We're made of star-stuff. We are a way for the cosmos to know itself."

"We are the local embodiment of a Cosmos grown to selfawareness. We have begun to contemplate our origins: starstuff pondering the stars; organized assemblages of ten billion billion billion atoms considering the evolution of atoms; tracing the long journey by which, here at least, consciousness arose. Our loyalties are to the species and the planet. We speak for Earth. Our obligation to survive is owed not just to ourselves but also to that Cosmos, ancient and vast, from which we spring."

- Carl Sagan
I shall write it as it should have been written, but as everything is fractal, it still works as said:

"We are the local embodiment of the Existence grown to selfawareness. We have begun to contemplate our origins: starstuff pondering the stars; organized assemblages of ten billion billion billion atoms considering the evolution of atoms; tracing the long journey by which, here at least, consciousness arose. Our loyalties are to the species and the Existence that we come from. We speak for God. Our obligation to survive is owed not just to ourselves but also to that Existence from which we come, ancient and vast, from which we spring, the Origin and Source of life."

hey Robert.,
That's the worst kind of plagerism that I could imagine !
To steal a man's thoughts about anything so galant....despitefull.
Your addition and modification is disturbing at best, or worst,
write your own message of life as we know it, yours sucks !

Gee thanks. That's real nice. I did point out what I was doing though... did I not?
The reason for that was to show the fractal nature of God and how it works though all things. Anyway, I think you will find we all take things from one another, that is fundamentally how we learn. :)

Robert,
To plagerize Sagan is getting pretty low on any standard.
I'll say here: create your own peice of the Cosmotic mystery.
Don't copy from a genius' work.
Sagan didn't follow your god nor do I.

It appears to me that matter is seeking life and awareness. How and why it is doing so is beyond my scope.
