Faith-confidence in what we hope for (Hebrews 11)
What makes you think that? You are now trying to reinterpret the Bible after the fact. I assure you, the Sun went down that day.
The seventh day is not said to have closed. Are you saying that's not true, that it has ended? The Bible does not say so, and there are factors demonstrating that it was NOT a 24-hour day. Every other day had a beginning and an end. But not the seventh day. I probably won't go into other topics with you now, I'll stay with the use of the word 'day.' It can be extensive, beginning and end as applied.
Satan told Eve (notice not ADAM) that she would not die. She died. God said she would die on the SEVENTH DAY. She ate on the SEVENTH DAY. Adam followed suit. Yet you want to keep saying about the day as always being 24 hours long, even though it is clear that the word day there does not mean a 24 hour period, but instead a period of time with a beginning and an end. The 7th DAY. has not yet ended according to the Bible. You seem to want to say it has ended as if in a 24-hour period, but then there is no evidence to say that it has ended. In fact, to the contrary. The Bible says days 1-6 had a beginning and an END. But not the 7th day. She died in that time period. Satan said she would not die. She died in the 7th DAY, a period of time which perhaps we can go into later on.

No, just like with Christianity, evolution says that everyone will die. Evolution does not mean that Christianity is false. Where did you get that idea from? It only means that the immoral Adam and Eve myth is false. And if you do not understand what is wrong with a supposed perfect God blaming his creation for his own short comings then you might want to work on your own morals.
Of course evolution implies there is no Creator. Furthermore, we, as in the human race, are the offspring of Adam and Eve. That is one reason why Jesus offered the prayer known as the "Lord's Prayer," in which he asked for God's kingdom to come to the earth.
God did not lie when He told Adam he would die on the day he ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Each day of creation is not 24 hours long, we can see that from the earth, fossils, and so forth, and the seventh 'day' is not said to have ended. They died in that day. The seventh day. We're still living in that day.

So what? It does not have to say that. The definition of "day" is known the Sun went down, that was the end of the day.

And where did God say that she would die on the Seventh Day? Please give me a chapter and verse. Plus you are ignoring both what God said to Adam and what he said about them living forever if they ate from the tree of life.

How does the fact of evolution, the fact that you are still a "monkey" refute a creator? Are you back to claiming that God is incompetent?

You make a lot of strange arguments for someone that claims to be a Christan.

And of course God lied to Adam. He did not die "that day". And you are still ignoring the verse that says how they could have lived forever. It was God that did it, not Adam and Eve.

Yes. A prayer no one hears. I'm afraid this longing is just wishful thinking and we have to take life as it is.

Wishful thinking is a type of faith but less positive. However faith does not have to be gung ho positive to be faith. And of course we have to take life as it is but our hope can be in Jesus and our less than gung ho faith can be in Jesus also.

Again, I am not your our. I will let you do your our, but if you claim I must do your our, I won't do it. I do my religion and accept you do yours. Can you accept that?

Are you saying that God's offering forgiveness to anyone is immoral, even if they repent and change their ways?

Why are you saying that? It sounds like it is because it is offending you, someone who does not believe in Jesus.

The victim may be offered an apology or restitution by the perpetrator if that is possible. Sometimes it is not possible.

Jesus does give the story of Zachaeus the tax collector and shows what true repentance should entail.

But as I said, that is not always possible.

Then it’s as I said, the perp is actually benefitting by receiving God’s forgiveness for his terrible actions, while the victim gets no restitution and no benefits. The victim may or may not get an apology? Seriously? Can you explain to me why you consider this moral?

It is true that the victim might not receive eternal life but that would show that the victim was also a perpetrator of many evil acts also with no repentance and no forgiving those who did evil against them.

Yeah, that’s totally immoral.

So a guy murders my entire family. This guy asks sincerely asks God for forgiveness. And now he gets to spend eternity in heaven. There is no punishment for his actions, and in fact, he’s actually being rewarded instead. By this method, Jeffrey Dahmer is sitting pretty in heaven for all eternity, because he sincerely repented. All of his victims are still dead, having been tortured and eaten. All of those victims’ family members still have to walk the earth, trying to get on with their lives somehow. Good thing our legal system isn’t as immoral as your God is, and these victims actually did receive some restitution. That’s more than your God would seem to afford them.

Then there’s the victim – my entire family is still dead. I’m going to suffer for the rest of the my entire life. Now I can’t afford the home we lived in, because I don’t have a spouse to help pay the bills. Now I am traumatized, depressed and suicidal and require psychiatric care that I cannot afford. And you’re going to tell me that I don’t deserve any restitution or benefit or anything at all (oh, maybe an apology if I’m lucky) because maybe I’ve sinned and haven’t repented? Are you kidding me? While the guy who killed my whole family is dancing around in heaven for all eternity? You seriously think this is a moral system??

I don't see the Bible as teaching that only Christians gain eternal life. That is something that Jesus decides at the judgement. It is Jesus who is the judge and so everyone has to go through Him to get to the Father and cannot get there any other way.

Well, that’s the story in the old book, anyway.

So Jeffrey Dahmer get up there and I get up there, and what is Jesus going to say to us, I wonder?

Which sounds like you are saying that God should be forcing everyone now to do what is right instead of allowing people freedom and judging them later.

Sounds like you’re trying to dodge my point.

Of course evolution implies there is no Creator.
No, it doesn't.

Why do you think God isn't intelligent enough to have designed evolution? Most of my Christian family members and friends have no problem with that at all.

Furthermore, we, as in the human race, are the offspring of Adam and Eve. That is one reason why Jesus offered the prayer known as the "Lord's Prayer," in which he asked for God's kingdom to come to the earth.
No, the human race are not the offspring of the mythical Adam and Eve from the Bible anymore than we are the offspring of Prometheus and Athena breathing life into mud. Neither are in evidence.

God did not lie when He told Adam he would die on the day he ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Each day of creation is not 24 hours long, we can see that from the earth, fossils, and so forth, and the seventh 'day' is not said to have ended. We can see from the earth, fossils and so forth that the seventh day is not said to have ended?? How so? What in the world does that mean?

The tree was symbolic. The seventh day has not ended. Read the Bible. Pray for wisdom. The fruit was good to eat. It meant if they ate from that tree when they were told not to they would not live forever. They both defied God. Eve thought she would be like God. Satan lied. Every other of the six days of creation had ended. Not the seventh day though.
