Creation vs evolution

I question the concept of evolution, and not your belief, which has nothing to do with my question about evolution.

When you questioned the validity of evolution those that support it didn't try to play the victim/oppressed card, they offered solid arguments and evidence to back their postion. On the other hand, when non-believers question the concept of creationism, you then cite the bible as your support for creationism, which leads to people questioning the validity of the bible, at which point you scream and cry about non-believers daring to question the validity of your precious bible. This isn't church. You are not preaching to the choir here. You do not get a free pass to say whatever you want without being asked to back it up. This is, ready for it? ..........the DEBATE forum. If you are not here to have an honest debate then I'm likely going to put you on my ignore list. As will many others here I predict. Have a nice day.

hey Just,
I think he made a few points here and there, but......ignore ??
I'm not too good at observing the DIV assignments, so I screw up sometimes.
So with that....lets get back to the gang bang

Look the Thread is about
"Creation vs Evolution"

It's not not about
"Beliefs vs Evolution"

I don't come in here question people what their beliefs are.

I question the concept of evolution, and not your belief, which has nothing to do with my question about evolution.

So what your doing is jumping from what the thread is about, over to what my beliefs are.
Which my beliefs has nothing to do with the thread of "Creation vs Evolution"

You said, and I do Quote "You think OUR words are fiction and you quote US"

So in the nature of what your saying, are you admitting that your words are fiction?

Because that is what your saying.
You seem to be repeating yourself.

hey Faith,
A lot of the complaints are about your interpretations of the writings.
Not me, I just ignore most of it, but I never really [ignore] per se.

I do back up claims by the bible, so if you want a debate, then by all means do.

You use science as your defence and I use the bible as my defence.

But then the Thread is not about the bible

Nope that will not work, The Thread is about ( Creation vs Evolution )

And not ( Bible vs Evolution)

So I prove my case of Creation by the bible and people prove their case of Evolution by Scientist.
So therefore the Thread is not about proving the bible, but about
( Creation vs Evolution) that's what the debate is about and not a debate about the bible.

Your problem is that the bible is not authoritative in matters of science. To advance your case, you must provide actual evidence, not the scribblings of ignorant savages.

I see, so you are merely admitting that you have no reliable evidence for your beliefs.

Ok.
You go to science for your information and I go to the Bible for my information.

If you can't handle me going to the bible, that's your problem and not mine.

My reliable evidence for my beliefs are found within the bible.

But then this is not what the Thread is about, the Thread is about, in case you haven't notice is about
(Creation vs Evolution) Ok

So my beliefs have nothing to do with it, Ok

But the problem is that the Bible has been demonstrated to be unreliable. By merely relying on that you tell us that you have no rational reason for your beliefs. If one relies on an unreliable source, regardless of what the source is, one is demonstrating that there is no reason for anyone to believe that person.

The problem is, Those that demonstrated the bible to be unreliable, were not Christians now were they.
Therefore they have no idea or clue or knowledge of understanding, what the Bible does say or confirm's.

All you have is what someone else will say.

Let's say, if someone told you that the sky is actually green, you would believe them on that also and why not, you believe them on anything else.

Just because people will say the bible is unreliable, that doesn't make it unreliable just because people say it is.
All it does do, is show peoples lack of knowledge and understanding what the Bible does support and confirm's.

Well if to what your saying, That the bible is unreliable, how is it that according to the Bible, which you say is unreliable, how is it, that you just fulfilled Prophecy of the bible, which was written a little over 2000 yrs ago.

The bible does say --"But these speak evil of those things which they know not, but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves, How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts"

Now that's amazing, how people like yourself fulfill Prophecy of the bible.
Which you call unreliable.
Now that is amazing.

Why do you think that one has to be a Christian to demonstrate that the Bible is unreliable? And when it comes to the Old Testament myths some of those were refuted by Christians. One does not need to believe all of the myths of the Bible to be a Christian. And your last sentence is pure nonsense. One does not need to be a Christian to understand the Bible. In fact many Christians became ex-Christians because they have a superior understanding of the Bible.

All you have is what someone else will say.

No, I have evidence and logic. All you have is your poor understanding of a book of myths.

Let's say, if someone told you that the sky is actually green, you would believe them on that also and why not, you believe them on anything else.

Wrong again, you are describing someone like you, not someone like me. I demand evidence. You rely on what others say and reject evidence.

Just because people will say the bible is unreliable, that doesn't make it unreliable just because people say it is.
All it does do, is show peoples lack of knowledge and understanding what the Bible does support and confirm's.

Wrong again, once again you describe yourself here. I probably understand the Bible far better than you do. I already demonstrated a superior understanding of the Ninth Commandment.

What fulfilled prophesy? You at best reinterpret the Bible in light of what the Bible says. That does not make an event a fulfilled prophesy. How about the terribly failed prophesies of the Bible?

The bible does say --"But these speak evil of those things which they know not, but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves, How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts"

Yes, when ignorant people write or believe in nonsense they will sometimes write defensive verses. So what? It is merely an example of the writers of the Bible breaking the Ninth Commandment by lying about those that they do not know.

Now that's amazing, how people like yourself fulfill Prophecy of the bible.
Which you call unreliable.

Nope, that is merely dishonest reinterpreting of the Bible. What you listed was not even a prophesy, it was merely a defensive verse. The Koran has the same sorts of verses. The Koran has the same sort of "fulfilled prophecies". By your standards the Koran has to be true.

Because no Christian who is a True Christian would not say the bible is unreliable.
That would be contradicting themselves as being a Christian that's why.

Either a person is a Christian or they are not a Christian, There's no in between or riding the fence.

That is a false assumption on your part. One can still believe that Jesus is their savior without believing all of the myths of the Bible. You do not even appear to know what it is to be a "True Christian". One does not need to believe that the Earth is flat to be a Christian. Or are you saying that the Bible is unreliable?

Now that's totally ridiculous, to say one can believe in Jesus, without believing in the myths of the bible.

The bible that you call a myth, is the words of Jesus, so explain exactly how is the Bible a myth, but yet is the words of Jesus.
That you claim to believe in Jesus.

If you say the bible is a myth, than the words of Jesus in the Bible would also be a myth, so what your saying is that you believe in Jesus but you don't believe in what Jesus has to say in the Bible.

It seems your contradicting yourself again.

No, it is not. It does not ever make that claim. You are merely interpreting it to make that claim at best.

If you say the bible is a myth, than the words of Jesus in the Bible would also be a myth, so what your saying is that you believe in Jesus but you don't believe in what Jesus has to say in the Bible.

Not necessarily. But Jesus did use all sorts of literary tools when preaching, so one could not be sure when he to take him literally or not. If one takes him literally then we know that he was not God. That is why most Christians do not read his works literally.

It seems your contradicting yourself again.

Please, don't make that inane claim. It only demonstrates that you do not understand what you are talking about. Instead you should be trying to learn.

Nope, once again you bear false witness against your neighbor. An inability of you to follow a rather straight forward discussion does not mean that the other person is contradicting himself.

I am beginning to doubt that you are a "true Christian". You may merely be a Poe that is trying to make other Christians look bad.
