OK.......................
Have you tried it? It takes every nerve, sinew and muscle in control to shoot the bow well.
As I already told Revoltingest, the biathlon is a whole different animal. In fact, it's listed as a separate sport.Shooting is massively physical, and of course one of the most extremely physical Olympic competitions is the Bi-Athlon. A Four-star sport requiring strength, stamina, speed and suppleness.
Hardly. And as far as staying upright, I'd wear curling shoes just like everyone else. You'd be nackered after one sweep, if you could stay upright for the whole course!
This is so sad. As I said, even my mother golfs, and 18 holes no less. I do admit she now uses a golf cart, but it wasn't always the case. How far is one Olympic hole? A few hundred yards, and requiring strength, suppleness and speed of limbs.
And the 2 man prone rifle event (think 2 man luge)?Synchronized shooting anyone?
With extra points given for artful pattern distribution? And the 2 man prone rifle event (think 2 man luge)?
It seems to me one pro golfer was allowed a cart a few years back in one or more of the majors...Yup, and every year thousands and thousands of people do exactly the same thing. Only difference is that their aim is likely not as good.
No doubt you're quite right. The only rules I could find were those for the Special Olympics where they're not allowed except under certain conditions.
.
And the 2 man prone rifle event (think 2 man luge)?
Sure, why not! With extra points given for artful pattern distribution?
That would be reserved for marching in the opening ceremony.Dude! "This is my rifle, this is my gun..." comes to mind.
I think the mixed pairs and female doubles would be of interest...Dude! "This is my rifle, this is my gun..." comes to mind.
"Is that your gun, or are you glad to see me?"Nooooo....You two have to stop this before @columbus decides to go into training.

As I indicated, the only rules I could find regarding the use of golf carts was in the special Olympics, where it says:It seems to me one pro golfer was allowed a cart a few years back in one or more of the majors...
It must be a sport. It raises my heart rate.I gave up worrying about stuff like this when synchronized swimming became an Olympic worthy sport.
Jousting. Now there's some sport. The horses could get medals too.I'm thinking the Olympics needs at quick-draw shooting competition...I remember, but cannot find, a song about 'Melvin, the 144th fastest gun in the west' (or something very close to that)...last one alive wins the gold...
ESPN and other sports channels are known to carry poker tournaments...now THAT's an exciting sport! Not every sport requires that one be an "athlete".
Aye, much training required to drink & smoke that much!ESPN and other sports channels are known to carry poker tournaments...now THAT's an exciting sport!
