Dallas Morning News Shocks Republicans

I'm sorry guys, but if Trump gets elected it is the planet that is in trouble. Canada is not nearly far enough away to escape the destruction he will cause. You will need to move to a different planet.

And I have spoken to people from the other planets, and they are going to build a wall and ban all earthlings from immigrating until their leaders can figure out what the hell is going on.
But wait a minute, I thought that Trump and his gullible groupies are from another planet? WOW! Is no place in this universe safe from them? As a kid I remember getting scared when watching "It Came From Outer Space", and now I have to worry about it all over again?

Better from "Outer Space" than from Putin's playbook, which Trump loves, of state religion, killing one's opponents, state control of business, government control of the media, invading small adjacent countries (that's how Trump will make Mexico pay for the wall, of course), antisemitism, and in general using the US Constitution as toilet paper.

We only compared taxes.
Obviously we get more killing, & less health care per dollar.
Part of Canada's problem is that we keep discovering great sources of petroleum in the USA including the just announced shale discovery in Texas.

But one thing Canada has all over the USA is the nickname for their currency. Think of the poker game during a political discussion: I'll see your 10 loonie bid and raise you 50 loonies.

Yep, and can you imagine for one minute what the Pubs would say if Hillary praised Putin like the Donald has? There would be screams from the rooftops, with a mighty wailing and gnashing of teeth.

But Trump is very much right about one thing, namely that he could shoot someone between the eyes and his supporters would still vote for him. Essentially it's the blind leading the blind.

And don't forget the "toonie"!
Still, we have good names......

Redstate and Drudge are my two main sources of information about what is happening in the conservative world. I recommend them both highly, especially to people who think that conservative people are stupid or something.

Drudge is a big supporter of Trump. Redstate is squarely in the #nevertrump camp. I learn a lot by comparing the opinions and links from the two websites.

I'd rather focus on what this thread is saying - i.e. that Trump is hostile to conservatism. Find me those links to back that assertion up.

Hey, you can believe anything you want as I really couldn't care less what you think as it turns out. If you can't see the bigotry in what Trump has repeatedly said, then there's simply no where to go with this. Bigotry is bigotry, and Trump has mouthed it extensively, and if you can't see that-- well, that's just you I guess.

Bigotry is bigotry. And it's not racism or xenophobia.

Glad we got that cleared up.

Dang, the problem is that there are so many.
Here is one from Redstate that is unusually mild, but is about the DMN editorial.

Essays about Trump started when he first announced his entry into the primary race. They hit a fever pitch roughly from the start of the primaries, especially Florida, ratcheting up through the conventions. I have read literally hundreds of pieces on this website alone, from a large assortment of conservative "small, Constitutional government Christian Republicans".
They hate Trump. Possibly more than Hillary, as she is supposed to be the enemy. The GOP front runner is not. They disagree about who is best. But they all agree that Trump is the ultimate RINO, and think he is destroying the party.

This link does contain an item that I believe is hostile toward conservatism (though not sure it is specifically conservatism) - when Trump has previously stated a proposed policy of killing families of terrorists. All other things in this article are IMO not hostile toward conservatism or the article isn't actually even making that point.

I find the terms "conservative" and "liberal" very problematic.
It is hard to tell what anyone means by them.
I see Hillary as more conservative than Trump in many ways. She wants to keep things the way they are, only more so. That is, to me, the essence of conservatism.
Trump wants to blow it up and start over. That is progressivism.
