Dude, the guy who wrote that song has said he could ****** kill himself for writing that song.

Everybody knows N'SYNC is much better 90s music.

This is what you had for TV?

You poor people. How did you take all that suffering? Was TV some sort of endurance test back then?

Also, I don't know a single other person my age who would not sell their soul for one of these:

Oh, 90s Nickelodeon was so good.

Cynthia, are you a person of the 80s or 2000s?

The 80s seemed alright, IMO, but I pity those who only had the 00s without the 90s to give some perspective.

That's more 80's, at least in spirit. Super cheesy "hair metal". There was a lot of music from the 90's that was vastly superior to that ****.

Are you suggesting that TV got better? :p

To be fair, television is the one cultural commodity that has improved beginning in the late 90's. Although, also to be fair, this generally applies to premium/cable television shows, and not really to network shows. On the other hand, this is somewhat balanced by the proliferation of "reality" TV, which is pretty much the basest form of television imaginable, and which somehow seems to get more banal and base each year. I'm not sure that The Wire, Breaking Bad, and Deadwood make up for the death of music and movies, and the rise of social media. However, it is something.

Aside from bands already mentioned, the 90's also:

Pearl Jam
REM
The Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Foo Fighters
The Goo Goo Dolls

Musically, it was the age of Sincere and slightly depressed. :p

Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad...

I meant on average. TV has always been overall garbage save for a small handful of good shows, and the 90's had its share of good ones as well: MST3K, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., Stargate SG-1, Mad TV, Star Trek:TNG/DS9/Voyager, and Xena (Yes, I was a total nerd as a teenager).

Millennial: Battlestar Galatica, Firefly, Dollhouse...better, much better.
