btw, this is the kind of cold-heartedness that turns us against Islam. Here you have a story of pure love and devotion capped by a community celebration of lifelong commitment, and you call it meaningless. If you can't find meaning in that, I feel only pity for you.

Well, to them they are probably incredibly happy. So, not meaningless at all.
Their marriage and their lives, have nothing to do with you. And I am sure, they couldn't care less what narrow minded view some people have.

I disagree, I enjoy very much looking at a female when making love. I also, have never heard any complaints coming from females I have slept with.Sex is pretty much 'yuck' when it's a heterosexual couple
Mind you, I agree there are some nasty people out there though. Hygiene people! it is key!!!

In truth, I didn't find their love story to be anything riveting and romantic but I'm sure it's been special to them. They seem like a sweet couple - reminds me of how my grandparents used to go back and forth with each other with petty disagreements. They can really be precious in old age.
It's amazing to find someone that you can share your life with. To be with someone for over 60 years is amazing. That has profound meaning.
