Its part of life for millions.
1 pea was rather unpopular.I thought they were 2 peas in a pod
Yea. Some people out there don't need to make a living.A living doing what?
Quite1 pea was rather unpopular.
Religious Education as taught in the UK, Australia etc does a good job of creating atheists.IMO religious studies should be avalible but not mandatory.
That's not what I asked.Yea. Some people out there don't need to make a living.
Which is a pretty long list of occupations that cannot justify months if not years of naming all ways of making a living. That's not what I asked.
Then schools should probably teach a lot then, no?Which is a pretty long list of occupations that cannot justify months if not years of naming all ways of making a living.
The Satanic Temple usually doesn't do activism except when it is called for by the activism of the religious.Neither does activism belong in schools.
OK, so don't encourage them to think on their own while being exposed to alternatives, right?Anything that is not part of the necessary curriculum that provides the tools necessary for a student to make a living.
In school they need to concentrate on their studies. Particularly when in classes are in session.OK, so don't encourage them to think on their own while being exposed to alternatives, right?
And I supposedly said otherwise? In school they need to concentrate on their studies. Particularly when in classes are in session.
The governor would probably have the political pull for reprisals in some form against the school districts that don't play along with what he wants.Does the governor actually have the authority - per the law as written - to do this, though? Wouldn't the selection of the chaplains all be done by individual school districts?
In short, I suspect this is really just a bunch of political posturing on his part and his office doesn't actually have the authority. But I dunno.
Probably, and a good job it might do so, given that not so many take science to any useful level and where this would likely make more atheists.Religious Education as taught in the UK, Australia etc does a good job of creating atheists.
Who would pay for the studies? Wouldn't we have to give the various religions equal time? Would teaching contradictory facts in different classes cause any problems?IMO religious studies should be avalible but not mandatory.
Great! It can be part of someone's life AFTER school hours. There's times and places for everything. Its part of life for millions.
Well, if you just concentrate on learning trades and don't teach them to think logically or reason abstractly, thinking on their own likely wouldn't occur to them. Without history or civics instruction they might not think of alternatives, eitherOK, so don't encourage them to think on their own while being exposed to alternatives, right?

You could as the exact same questions about teaching history. Who would pay for history studies? Wouldn't we have to give various histories equal time? Would teaching contradictory facts in different classes cause any problems?Who would pay for the studies? Wouldn't we have to give the various religions equal time?
