God, it seems like only yesterday that Julian Assange was the darling of the left and whistle-blower extraordinaire.
Actually, I could never stand the guy but now have a tiny bit of respect. He had to have known the backlash to this would be "fast and furious".Gotta agree with you on that.
Yessss. Let's talk about those email hacks, shall we? How curiously timed that release was. Who Julian Assange has ties to and how he has fled extradition for rape charges. How it took an entire day for Donald Trump to claim that he was joking that he wanted the DNC hacked.
How Donald Trump's having ties to the Russian government is not out of the question, and releasing those tax returns would go a LONG ways towards alleviating those concerns.
Huh where did you make that left turn at? Seems to be I said Hillary's emails not the DNC? Are you saying that the Hillary's emails were hacked? Oh my!
God, it seems like only yesterday that Julian Assange was the darling of the left and whistle-blower extraordinaire.
I'm sensing hurt feelings here. Bwahahahahaa.Julian Assange has revealed his true colors. He is a known opponent of Hillary Clinton who probably wants Trump to win. He has ties with Russia. He has fought extradition to answer for the rape allegations against him. If's he's innocent, he should have flown back to Sweden to clear his name as soon as the allegations were announced.
I'm sensing hurt feelings here. Bwahahahahaa.
A rather strange "bodhisattva" response.I'm sensing hurt feelings here. Bwahahahahaa.
No, pay attention. He said he hoped the Russians could find Hillary's deleted emails. Having problems with either reading or listening? Here I'll let you hear it again....try to listen and really read.Wikileaks released the DNC emails, right? It was Trump who said he hoped Hillary's emails also got hacked, right?
“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said during a news conference here in an apparent reference to Mrs. Clinton’s deleted emails. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”
Donald J. Trump said on Wednesday that he hoped Russian intelligence services had successfully hacked Hillary Clinton’s email, and encouraged them to publish whatever they may have stolen, essentially urging a foreign adversary to conduct cyberespionage against a former secretary of state.

But then again you may be listening or reading the biased media... Here is the quote just before the above.
What to hear his words? Start a time 0.24 into the video.
However we do have new information from the FBI. Sorry but I really have to use this source

But the above does not justify your first comments.
First I do not make the assumption that I have a feeling of patronizing superiority to you. It is that I'm getting tired of members that do not do their research before they post. Now I do admit that I have made post that the data did not support what I said. But I admitted I was in the wrong and apologized for doing so vice attempting to change the subject because I was wrong. Seems that is what you are doing hear. Correct? Let me refresh your memory about the subject at hand. You stated that "You know, we haven't met before, so let me just let you in on a little something:
When people disagree with me, which does happen, I tend to respond better to it if it's not laced with this kind of condescending tone, particularly when interlaced with an ignorance of the facts. Just saying.
Now, the NY Times article you posted carries some fascinating tidbits. For example, "Mr. Trump also appeared to leave the door open to accepting Russia’s annexation of Crimea two years ago — which the United States and its European allies consider an illegal seizure of territory...Mr. Trump’s apparent willingness to avoid condemning Mr. Putin’s government is a remarkable departure from United States policy and Republican Party orthodoxy, and has fueled the questions about Russian meddling in the campaign."
All this does is just further support my suspicion that Trump has been cozy with the Russians, Putin in particular.
Is not that a wrong statement. Must be because you are attempting to change the subject.Wikileaks released the DNC emails, right? It was Trump who said he hoped Hillary's emails also got hacked, right?"
We work in mysterious ways....A rather strange "bodhisattva" response.
And yet the US government has no real issues in trying to influence overtly or covertly the governments of any country it chooses. Sour grapes or what? I'm sensing a tiny bit of a double standard. Like, who is Barack Obama to tell Bashar al-Assad to step down? Who appointed him (or George Bush with Saddam Hussein), god?Um, we generally speaking do not like foreign powers to influence our elections, and if it were the Donald and/or the Pubs getting hacked with threats of putting out confidential information to hurt them, does anyone seriously think for one minute that they would encourage that?
What are you talking about because your analogies make not one iota of sense. I'm talking about our elections and what Trump's response and encouragement has been, so there's no "double-standard" that I'm using. If you want to discuss the gist of our foreign policy towards whatever country, maybe start a new thread. And yet the US government has no real issues in trying to influence overtly or covertly the governments of any country it chooses. Who is the US government to hack into Angela Merkel's smart phone and communications?

In general, Democrats love it with foreign powers (allegedly) urge Obama's or Hillary's election.Um, we generally speaking do not like foreign powers to influence our elections, and if it were the Donald and/or the Pubs getting hacked with threats of putting out confidential information to hurt them, does anyone seriously think for one minute that they would encourage that?
And if I understood his lame joke in the proper context he was likely saying it because the Russians, Chinese, Germans, English and Revoltingeststanians have ALREADY done so. To pretend otherwise is plain stupid. An example of this was during the Trey Gowdy Benghazi hearings when he was first trying to get at Hill Hill's emails. The standing joke at the time was that he could probably get things more quickly by simply asking the Chinese or the Russians. In general, Democrats love it with foreign powers (allegedly) urge Obama's or Hillary's election.
Influence is always good when it's on one's own side, eh.
But remember that in Donald's case, there's no such evidence other than invention fueled by wishful thinking.
I'm lost.....which joke by whom? And if I understood his lame joke in the proper context he was likely saying it because the Russians, Chinese, Germans, English and Revoltingeststanians have ALREADY done so. To pretend otherwise is plain stupid.
