I've never experienced this in person, but I have seen some rather nasty Atheists online (not here) who seemed to log on only to experience the sheer joy of bullying people of faith. I don't know if that counts as a form of proselytizing, or if that simply falls under the "being a tool" category.

I've never had an Atheist come to my door on a sunny Saturday morning.

Ever heard of the term "militant atheist"? Yeah. And it gets just as annoying as any other group proselytizing.

I see it too which is just pathetic.

What's worse is some are so serious about it that it is part of the reason why I label myself agnostic even though I lack a belief in god. I wish some atheists would realize that what they do looks just as bad as the fundamental believers.

Absolutely not. Anyone can proselytize any point of view.

Well, it's a particular point-of-view, but I wouldn't call it a religion. Though, I can see why some would.

You'd be wrong. The fact that some people are jerks doesn't make atheism a religion.

I do see some belief going on whenever an atheist says things that insult or paint a huge brush stroke on people of religious belief. When I hear an atheist say for example the world would be a better place if it were full of atheists like ourselves, that to me demonstrates a belief system or something advocates a mass way of thinking and viewing. But I think it would depend on the context so one has to take people's views with a grain of salt.

But as far as atheism being a religion, no it is not.

Religion- 1. A strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny.

2. Institution to express belief in a divine power.

I won't say "most" for either side, but many atheists are not content with that. Especially online.

No. You can proselytize your opinion on anything.
