And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. (Mark 3:25)
I am sure the answer lies somewhere in the middle between the extremes but as I've showed atheists aren't the only ones saying these things with science, this country is mostly like 80% Christian.. Atheists feel like they have to hide their true beliefs where I come from.

The Bible was written thousands of years ago. The words written down are unchangeable. They wrote what they wrote. It is certainly the case that people have misinterpreted some of the passages written by the authors of the Bible. People still misinterpret Bible passages. However, knowledge about the universe has been acquired. It is being acquired. Just because someone misinterpreted Bible passages in the past does not mean we must continue to misinterpret them. As we gain knowledge about the universe, we can go back and read the passages of the Bible that were written. When we do that, they still fit together perfectly. You thought the Bible contradicts evolution. We know evolution is true. But the Bible doesn't ever say that evolution does not take place. In fact the words written support the notion of evolution.

The words were written centuries ago, millenniums ago. I don't need hindsight to read what was written thousands of years ago.
Being serious, I don't see anything wrong in getting whatever wrong in scripture, the scriptures were written by different writers, some probably though the earth was flat, that's no big deal, but its when people don't want to admit it, that it becomes a fundamentalist and dogmatic argument, always one sided.

We have to leave atheist and Christians out of the argument, and look at the facts, the facts that we know now.

Why do you continue with this.

Right now...cite the verse that states that some author of the Bible thinks the earth is flat...state the verse.

The Bible is 100% true.

Please remind me what the two extremes are.

The Bible, though it was written by flawed men was written under the inspiration of God. There are no flaws in the written words of the Bible. So it is important if there are authors of the Bible who thought the earth was flat when indeed we know it is not. So Cite the verses please.

As if god is either all loving or a terror extremists ready to smite all of Vegas for being the city of sin..
Why should we find fault in a loving and just God who is willing to smite unrepentant sinners? When we disobey the commands of God, we deserve the punishment he has declared for us from the very beginning.

But thanks for posting the extremes you were referring to.
