Please keep in mind, the hope of the Resurrection. The future time, after Armageddon, when dead mankind will be brought back to life...even the unrighteous, probably totaling billions (Acts of the Apostles 24:15).... and be given the chance to acknowledge Jehovah God’s sovereignty! 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 is something to look forward to.I don't judge God unless something goes against my conscience. Absolutely, if someone is killing people for practically nothing, it is noble to object. It isn't pride, its compassion.
I have my doubts that God ever wanted people to be killed for working on Sabbath, and I doubt my God is the Baby killer that the Bible says he is.
What's the scriptural basis for this?for God to resurrect dead ones from thousands of years ago, He has to resurrect them with their memories restored, so that they’ll recognize their loved ones who also died!
What?!What's the scriptural basis for this?

I am thinking about it - to help me think about it some more perhaps you would be kind enough to please choose the most appropriate statement in regard to my question:What?!
I guess you think they’ll just be like zombies, huh?
Oh, that’s right. You don’t think about it anymore. Sad.
Jehovah's witnesses are fine to do as they please.
Live a simple, humble, modest, devout, countercultural life, without holidays, if that's what floats your boat! I'm totally cool with that!
They start buggingg the **** out of me though, when they get all self-righteous, proud, and judgemental, (like the pharisees and saducees)and think their little man-made sect, (which wasn't invented till the 19th century).....
has the fullness of truth, and billions of others adhere to a Satanic, Idolatrous, "Whore of Babylon" system of religion.
What a depressing load of terrible, disgusting, toxic news, to make a depressed miserable world more miserable!
Way to spread more heartache! And show everyone God failed to guide and shepherd his flock! Epic fail! Hence, God can't be trusted! Because nearly every one lives in confusion and heresy. So, let's earn salvation going door to door and poisoning the world with bad depressing news!
Job spoke of being resurrected, the prophet Daniel mentioned it in Daniel 12, Paul in Hebrews 11 spoke of those who “didn’t receive the fulfillment” of God’s promises, but were eventually going to. John 5:28-29. Acts of the Apostles 24:15. Etc.I am thinking about it - to help me think about it some more perhaps you would be kind enough to please choose the most appropriate statement in regard to my question:
(a) you don't know the scriptural basis for the fanciful belief that people who died thousands of years ago will be physically resurrected as humans on earth with their memories intact
(b) there is no scriptural basis for the fanciful belief that people who died thousands of years ago will be physically resurrected as humans on earth with their memories intact
I respectfully disagree.Thank you! (I knew you were a good guy!)
We don’t mean to come across this way, have you really experienced this with us, face to face? We try to draw people to Jehovah’s worship (Isaiah 2:1-4...notice, “In the final part of the day’s”?) This leads to my next part...
Regarding the “19th century”:
Please read Daniel 12:4 and vss.9 & 10. In the “time of the end” is when these secrets, that even Daniel didn’t understand, would become clarified. There would be spiritual darkness before the Last Days, but enlightenment during those times. These are the times we live in....more confusion and disharmony than ever before.
Kudos to you, for being aware of who we claim “Babylon the Great” is!
What do you think of religious organizations (I’m not saying “people”) that support the conficts of their respective countries? Do you think God and Jesus really approve? I don’t think so. — Luke 6:27; Acts of the Apostles 10:34-35
Actually, what we preach is the “Good News of the Kingdom” — Matthew 24:14; Revelation 21:3-4.
However, we must point out the truth of 1 John 5:19.
How we long for 1 John 3:8b.
Religious leaders have failed...not God.
And again, it’s really happy news JW’s share, of a better and more secure future soon to come. Can you just imagine experiencing the fulfillment of Isaiah 11:6-9?!
This is for mankind on this Earth!
These all speak of a resurrection - where is the scriptural basis for believing that humans who died thousands of years ago will be resurrected to human life, on earth, with their memories restored? I want scriptural references, not chocolate box pictures of what you are taught to imagine.Job spoke of being resurrected, the prophet Daniel mentioned it in Daniel 12, Paul in Hebrews 11 spoke of those who “didn’t receive the fulfillment” of God’s promises, but were eventually going to. Grief! These all speak of a resurrection - where is the scriptural basis for believing that humans who died thousands of years ago will be resurrected to human life, on earth, with their memories restored? I want scriptural references, not chocolate box pictures of what you are taught to imagine.
To be honest, I would prefer that no one celebrated American Independence Day.
The entire thing is a pointless exercise, that serves no real purpose other than to reinforce the "Muh freedom" attitude that you see too often these days.Ok...ya gots to say why.

What? Oh you mean American Football - for a minute there I thought you were suggesting soccer is pointless!Football is a pointless exercise, too.
So there is no scriptural basis for that belief then - as of course we both already knew - as far as being zombie like and lacking the power of reason - I guess it'll be hard to tell the difference in some cases! And just in case you are in any doubt - that last bit is "scoffing" - I have given up on reasonable debate since you are clearly unable your substantiate your claim regarding the resurrection....you asked about their "memories restored".....what do you think? They are zombie like?!...That just reveals a lack of reasoning and thinking on the subject...
Patriotism and nationalism are two of the driving forces that make war possible. It is IMO, a competing, almost 'religious' response to any perceived threat, eliciting the same same strong emotional response in people.....that hand on the heart.....my country right or wrong.....I will salute the flag of my nation and kill to protect what it stands for....that isn't the standard by which JW's live. Some churches are very patriotic, but we never saw Jesus promoting that. (Acts 10:34-35) How do you love your enemies and at the same time support bloodshed?
We support our nation by paying our taxes and not filling up the jails with murderers, thieves and drug dealers. No government ever has to worry about JW's ever trying to oppose them with weapons, because that is not what Christ instructed us to do. No person ever has to worry about getting shot by a JW because we don't carry weapons.
If Christ told us to love God, to love our neighbor and to love even our enemies...then that is what we should be doing. Christians do not have a nationality if they are citizens of God's Kingdom. They serve as ambassadors for that kingdom, which means having no part in the world's political activities.
The only thing we celebrate is what Jesus commanded us to....the memorial of his death....and it doesn't cost us anything. No hype, no rampant commercialism, no hypocrisy. We are simple people with a simple form of worship....like the one Jesus taught when he was here.
We pledge allegiance to one government, but it isn't on this earth. (John 18:36) We live by its rules and we try to be model citizens in whatever nation we reside in, because that's what it means to be a Christian.....a footstep follower of Christ.
Was Jesus a political figure? Did he meddle in the political system of his day, even when it was oppressing his own people? Did he recommend joining the military to fight for Jewish freedom? Would he approve of celebrating a day when there was mass bloodshed attached to that event? Was the bloodshed in any political war justified in God's eyes?
To my knowledge, God hasn't sanctioned a war for thousands of years.
That’s just it...it is “reasonable” deduction. So there is no scriptural basis for that belief then - as of course we both already knew - as far as being zombie like and lacking the power of reason - I guess it'll be hard to tell the difference in some cases! And just in case you are in any doubt - that last bit is "scoffing" - I have given up on reasonable debate since you are clearly unable your substantiate your claim regarding the resurrection.
I do have to object to several of your statements here. There are, for instance, JWs who have committed murder...JWs who steal...JWs who commit all sorts of crimes. As an example, in my home congregation there was a ministerial servant/former pioneer minister who murdered an elderly woman while seeking money for his cocaine habit.
Then, of course, there are the numerous pedophiles who inhabit JW congregations all over the world.
The "love" that JWs talk about is absolutely conditional. They don't really "love" their neighbors unless those neighbors are JWs and in the proper JW social clique. So many times, JWs, when leaving the doorstep of someone who didn't appreciate their uninvited intrusion, will comment on what a "goat" that person is and how God will soon be destroying them at Armageddon.
And guns? LOL I know that when I was an active JW, guns, other than those used for hunting, were not utilized. Now, however, there are JWs who own handguns with concealed carry permits and who brag that they would shoot and kill anyone who threatened them or their families. That rather shocked me, but it seems to be a trend.
So, perhaps it might behoove you to tell the truth, eh?
Wow! Don’t JW’s have a reputation for disfellowshipping those practicing bad things?
