To create something to worship you just seems weird to me. But you took the trouble of creating an option specially for my kind, so I voted the atheist answer

However, creating something with no reason or purpose at all seem useless to me as well.
Maybe if all that free will stuff is reall, it's more that God hopes than that God requires..
Without the free will stuff I asume, in case of God, that he requires nothing of us.

Hello! we can't cope with these mental reasonings untill we admit that we are created and we have a Creator.

No God doesn't need, we need a God to worship Him. How? See! what is the truth? Human has Lord, okay! why did our Lord create us? answer is to get success in Hereafter. How success could be possible? if we follow His guidance. Let me explain, you may have missed your lectures many time in your colledge life (if suppose!) does it make your loss or teacher's loss? Defintely yours! So does teacher need a student, or you need a teacher to suceed? Same as God doesn't need human to worship, you need a God to be worshiped Him to get success in Hereafter.

No! because God is your Lord, your creator, He has power to do all things whatever He wished, but you need to worship Him to ask for His mercy upon you. As the truth is, we are created and we have a Creator.

Again :no: because we aren't holding God as if we would release our hands and He will be fallen down but God is holding us so we need to be worship if He may not release His hold to make us fallen down.

the first part dosent make any sense. we need to worship god? what happens if we dont? if the answer is "god sends you to hell", then obviously god either wants or needs you to worship him. or does he require worship for no particular reason? he dosent want nor need worship, but he created us to worship him none-the-less, why? and this god, who dosent want or need worship, but requires it for no particular reason, he sends us to hell for not worshiping him? whats the purpose of all that mess?

I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.

This seem to indicate otherwise. The verse seemed to indicate that he "want" worship.

You have mention several times that God is a creator, and that humans were created. And if he created humans to worship him, then he also "need" worship.

Evidence, in the context of this thread, is irrelevant. The question is about a presumption of the nature of God, and this requires that the poster believes in God in some form in order to be able to answer the question.

Well, I picked other because this thread is hard to respond to.

What is worship? If worship is living for the purpose for which you were created and acknowledging God in the process, then I would imagine that God wants that.

Does God need worship? No. At least, not from us. He has the angels for that. He created us for a different purpose. He created us to finish building our new home. Is that worship? Yes. Does God need it? I think so.

I think maybe the Bahai faith has rewritten Islam (as well as other religions) This isn't something new though as Christianity rewrote Judaism.
