It shouldn't be that hard to fix "bigoty" by making it "bigotry". Such fixture of this thread's title would do well for someone like me that suffers from the crushing heel of OCD.

For the love of God, someone help this poor man and fix the title! MODS!

But she has the right to self-determination and to identify as any religion, to deny that is wrong. So no, she is not a Jew by religion, she is a Muslim.
Why should Jews have to see Islamic practice as equally valid as Jewish practice for Jews?

According to her, she is. And that is what counts. So basically you are saying that Judaism is non-voluntary, that it is a religion that forces a woman to be a Jew against her own expressed will.

Who is forcing anyone?
She believes she's muslim some people believe otherwise. Apparently some people have expressed their opinion in a rather loud and publicly disturbing way.

But nothing forceful going on.
Or are you really engaging your raging feminism now? Because its nothing specially aimed at women.

Not at all... If you had read the articles, you'd have known that.

Reading the article? You are funny.

But i get it. All small groups should cease to exist and accept their discontinuation. Sometimes its done by the use of force and sometimes not.
This would also reduce the number of DIRs and therefore server traffic.

Nope. You just play the "choose the best definition that fits your own prejudice" game.

bigotry - Wiktionary

So now I am prejudice? Sure, why not. Add it to the list.

as for your definition...

Intolerance or prejudice, especially religious or racial; discrimination

There is no intolerance, or prejudice towards Muslims. There is no discrimination against them either. Jews being against intermarriage is more about the Jew than it is about the Muslim.

According to Islamic law she is, according to Jewish law she isn't. So again, why should Jews have to believe that Islamic customs apply equally as Jewish customs to Jews?

Because otherwise, we could be seen as sexist, and prejudiced.... among other things.

No one's listening …
Oh, we're listening (or rather, reading), & believe that this distinction does not exculpate.
Many faiths have prescriptions relating to gender, conversion & marriage which we secular types
find less than tolerant, eg, punishment of apostates, refusing gay marriage, no female clergy.
These will seem valid & fair to fervent believers who are immersed in a like minded environment,
but we outsiders are going to disagree. Note also that many Jews will have similar disapproval
for others' faith based practices they dislike.
I don't say that Jews & Israel must change this. I'm just disapproving. And thus, my opinion
shouldn't cause any consternation.

Disagreeing respectfully is fine. Calling us bigots because you disagree is a whole different thing.

To compare this to "refusing gay marriage" is either disingenuous, thoughtless, or ignorant in the extreme.
Oh, calm down.
All believers must face the reality that others will find fault with some aspects of the faith/culture.
After all, you've little respect for me & my loony beliefs, & you've no hesitation in stating it (again
& again). But you want all of yours held sacred by those who disagree? It ain't happening.

Well, I didn't actually do that, ie call you "bigots".
I believe it is far milder to discuss that it constitutes bigotry, especially since I pointed
out how mild it is in general. (Note that I don't over-generalize from the abusive
protesters at the wedding. I don't even say that it applies to all Jews.)
