Not sure chanting Gods name in it self remove sin and give what you called good karma, but praising God and showing our dedication to Gods message is very good for repaying our sins, God is forgiving.I've not read this in the Holy books or anywhere, I just believe chanting God's name saves you and gives you good karma.

For me it's names plural, not name. Most of the Hindu Gods have sets of names, of 108, or 1008. The first is called astottara, and the second sahasranama. Many pujas have the chanting of God's names as part of the ritual. i don't think it brings good karma per se, but it certainly can raise the vibration of the area where it's being heard.
Here's an example:
Interesting. How long does it take to learn all those names?
You are right. Nothing more is needed (of spiritual sadhana in Kali Yuga)I've not read this in the Holy books or anywhere, I just believe chanting God's name saves you and gives you good karma.

It’s found at Psalms 83:18.I’ll give it a try. What’s his name?
It is not often that I laugh aloud at this forum, but that did it. Pure class Salix,I’ll give it a try. What’s his name?
Good priests have good memory, and can chant for hours without repetition. Most priests, if doing a longer one, use a book. In family lineages of priests, they will start out at age 4 or 5, and that's all they do. I would guess it would take a few days to memorise 108, if you worked at it constantly, longer if not. There are all kinds of chants to memorise. Sri Rudram, for example takes about 20 minutes to recite, and I'm guessing a few million people know it by heart.
We had a guest priest here once for a special ceremony who could recite enough stuff that would take a week, 24 hours straight, without repetition.
The record for pi is around 17000 digits. That took 17 hours.
